叹息着赞同.... 是，父亲对孩子，对社区，对政治，都参与太少。
我老公也差不多，对孩子还好，对身边的社区政治基本没兴趣，对政治的兴趣好像限于
祖国的政治。也是第一代移民的局限吧。
不过，若有愿意的心，还是可以有所为的。上次去参加一个社区讨论教育 （Common
Core)的论坛，碰到一位同胞，因为时间关系没有跟他说话。他似乎是他们 home owner
association 的主席，发言很积极，还向组织会议的老美妈妈介绍 outreach 的经验

名义上是介绍你的专业，什么物理啦什么电子啦，然后顺带介绍一下中国
有美国无的东西。自然就把中国的形象给托上去了。
举个例子吧，小学都很欢迎science outreach的。你带点液氮去学校给孩子们
做做磁悬浮的演示， 然后乘机说说磁悬浮火车。可以达到比amtrak快多少倍
的速度。然后给几张上海磁悬浮火车的照片，说一下这个例子是全世界最快
的高速铁路，中国上海照的照片。
只要你有热情去参与，夹带私货的机会非常多的。 |

宾夕法尼亚大学的生物化学系华裔学生胡阿曼达(Amanda Hu，音译)，28日深夜被发现

与40街附近一座民宅的二楼卧室，发现躺在地上一动不动的阿曼达。她的口鼻仍有血液

得比common core来得陡。
common core要求高不见得，但是不好考核是真的。完全程式化了就变成另一个竖式计
算，因为中小学老师主要还是在针对考试大纲来准备学生的。我和我这里很好的中学的
数学老师合作过outreach，他自己都说大多数教学都是针对怎么完成ap calculus考试
的，自己手下学生真正理解的不多。这个我跟那些学生交流也有这样的感觉。这些都还
是后来被藤校理工学科收的那种学生，白人亚裔都有。 |

后来人有帮助。很多时候我们尽自己最大的努力去准备，结果如何，交托上帝手中，将
一切的忧虑卸给神，因为祂顾念我们。相信或走或留，有神同在，都会走出一条恩典之
路来。
1. DIY 还是找律师？
各有利弊。我两年前申请NIW时的时候找了律师，律师帮忙写的推荐信。这次申请EB1A
是DIY，主要原因是律师不肯接，理由是引用不过100，把握不大。想想有了NIW的经验
，推荐信再改改，DIY的难度应该不大，于是就DIY了。在DIY的过程中，感觉对于相对
来说比较弱的case，DIY肯定比律师来弄把握更大，因为只有自己最了解自己，也对于
自己的申请更上心，更能挖掘出闪光点。如果你的case很强，属于肯定能过的，找律师
肯定更省心。下面的可以不用看了。
2. 怎么准备I-140的申请？
第一步：做足功课。

再次感谢版老大和mdacc的建议, 还好没有盲目相信律师的PL. 奇怪的是第一次package
没有收到, 搞了个RFE, 不知是USPS出岔子还是USCIS自己乌龙, 害我在收到RFE信前还
郁闷了几天. 什么新材料都没准备, 只是把所有材料再打印一遍 (还有都有soft copy),自己好好的label一下, 给寄了出去.
收到的RFE信基本和网上的模板一样, 感谢mdacc提供
