的博后）。因为进入美国是F1，所以那160天是 out of status。（别问我为什么160天
，我也是后来才发现的）
现在回国重新申请J1，DS160表上有这个问题“Have you ever been unlawfully
present, overstayed the amount of time granted by an immigration official or
otherwise violated the terms of a U.S. visa?”
我究竟是应该回答No呢？
还是回答Yes，并解释“out-of-status for 160 days”?

在网上总是听说, 递上 I-485后, 在I-485 pending 时 (AP 还没批)，不能离境美国
。在读了I-485的说明后, 觉得是：有Ｈ１或Ｈ４身份的人在I-485 pending 时可以出

基本都是combine以前版面的一些帖子然后自己把所有相关的的都交了的结果。
w2只交了去年的，因为10年的找不到了。
工资单交了三个月的。
cover letter的前部分主要就是介绍了一下自己的status＋签证入境的经历。希望能给
IO少点时间。不要问我你xx年xx日从哪里入关忘记了应该怎么办这些，因为我也不知道
要怎么办。我自己每次都是从一个地方入境，所以不会不记得。如果不记得的同学去找
找你们护照上入境的章子，会有入境和出境时间还有地点，当然如果是章子盖的清楚的
话。
然后我是从cvs买了三个纸做的文件袋，有颜色的，所以三个package是一样一个颜色，
然后底下也列出来了谁是谁。信封简单封好，不封太死，然后文件袋正反都写上，
ORIGINAL SUBMISSION, I-xxx FOR MISSGUO2
然后三个文件袋combine，最上面放上这封信。一起封到fedex的small pak里面寄走（
usps怎么弄我不知道）。

发帖数: 350 | 47 一步步走来，终于把485材料整理好今天寄出了，剩下的只是等待和期盼那张传说中的
绿卡。向大家求祝福的同时也附上我的check list，供大家参考以回报本版，尤其是从
学生到博侯身份的战友们。材料的装订也是从版上学习的，就是主副申请人的材料分别
装入一个信封，附上一个总的 cover letter.

在网上总是听说, 递上 I-485后, 在I-485 pending 时 (AP 还没批)，不能离境美国
。在读了I-485的说明后, 觉得是：有Ｈ１或Ｈ４身份的人在I-485 pending 时可以出
入境。 但是有Ｆ１或Ｆ２身份的人在I-485 pending 时却不能出境如果 AP 还没批。
请大家帮忙看看, 我的理解对不对? 以下摘录自I-485的说明第６页。
