给Nature投稿：一个失败的故事
60多年前（45，46年），浙江大学教师贝时璋，王淦昌，束星北，何增禄四位教授在
Nature上共发表了6篇论文。自那以后浙江大学教师在就没有在nature上以第一作者（
或通信作者），且第一单位发表过论文（第二单位还是有的，例如童利民教授）。值得
一提的是，上个月18日刘树生教授的一篇论文，实现了第二个顶级期刊Science零的突
破。
近20年来，浙大每年都有一些教授向Nature，Science投稿，主要集中在生科院，医学
院，农学院等。据我所知，其中汪元美，罗琛，吴平等教授的工作已经很接近发表在
Nature，Science上的标准。刘树生教授更是十年磨一箭，要不发都难。
2007年10月28日，我也斗胆敲了一下Nature的门。

得到32篇文献，居然还有发在Nature上的文章两篇 还有其他牛文若干篇。灰常的欢乐。

慎多了，因为：
1.这次在美国的中国学生学者的反应还是很激烈的，我想这也是出乎Nature预料的，中
国学生学者的影响力还是展示了一下；
2.Nature毕竟不是大众媒体，所以我相信它不会enjoy这种争议不时出现；
3.NPG还是很看着中国市场的，我想作为营利性商业机构，它不会故意再冒险来激怒中
国人。
至于撤稿、道歉，我觉得不太可能，因为：
1.这只是篇网站上的News，对数据的严谨性肯定不如对article和letter高，所以引起
科学界共鸣来支持的机会比较小；
2.即使再有错误，也算是学术领域的争议，这个不好扩大化。
Nature在事情发生后改标题，主编回信，发editor's note说明他们还是意识到了问题
并做出了努力（尽管是象征性的、没有实质性的）。
这件事情最让人不爽的是Noah Gray的狂妄，我很惊讶作为Nature的资深编辑竟然毫无
顾忌地、情绪性地来进行个人行动来挑衅中国人。我想下一步的工作重点应该是赶走这

握也不太懂，权力也小些，主要听reviewer的
science编辑权力非常大，而且还有个“长老会”跟着一块瞎折腾。只要编辑想收，他/
她总有办法去操作.有利有弊，因此烂文/水文率更高一点，好处是抢groudbreaking的
成果时更灵活
发science发的多一般是跟编辑更熟络，但是总拉关系不如先到没关系的那家避避嫌，
玩不转了再走熟人的路子
说实话Nature比Science要求更严格。个人经验基于三篇文章两次N、两次S审稿。
Nature编辑选的审稿人更靠谱，要求对审稿人意见的答复也更严。Nature审稿结果很大
部分取决于编辑自己与“关键”审稿人的看法。他家选的审稿人都比较狠（或者说更
mean），应该是编辑鼓励他们给你最大化的打击。另外组内经验是Science一年灌好几
篇，其中一些都是被Nature据掉的，而Nature几年才一篇，这说明美国这边的大牛对
Nature的影响力不如Science。 |

这是一个重大的胜利。在我眼里，不亚于一块金牌。
总结：
1）感谢所有在网上留言还击的同胞，特别是那些用英文且能注意技巧的人。感谢饶毅
老师和他所引用的那几位华人的努力。他们的做法是榜样。他们告诉我们，还击不是为
了宣泄，而是为了在道义上打败对方，并争取在舆论上打败对方（这点目前很难，因为
我们没有话语权）
2）思考：为什么nature能出来反省？WSJ，CNN等就没这个压力呢？

一个月前，DeepMind创始人Demis Hassabis曾说道很快会有关于围棋研究的惊喜，而1
月28日的《Nature》杂志即将以封面论文的形式介绍Google旗下人工智能公司DeepMind
开发的一款名为AlphaGo的人工智能，它已经击败了欧洲围棋冠军，并将于3月与世界冠
军李世乭对战。该程序采用了两个深度神经网络，policy network与value network，
极大地降低了需要考虑的搜索空间的复杂度，前者降低搜索的广度，后者降低搜索的深
度，很像人脑在下围棋时凭直觉快速锁定策略的思维。

1997年，国际象棋AI第一次打败顶尖的人类；2006年，人类最后一次打败顶尖的国
际象棋AI。欧美传统里的顶级人类智力试金石，在电脑面前终于一败涂地，应了四十多
年前计算机科学家的预言。
至少还有东方，人们自我安慰道。围棋AI长期以来举步维艰，顶级AI甚至不能打败
稍强的业余选手。这似乎也合情合理：国际象棋中，平均每回合有35种可能，一盘棋可
以有80回合；相比之下，围棋每回合有250种可能，一盘棋可以长达150回合。这一巨大
的数目，足以令任何蛮力穷举者望而却步——而人类，我们相信，可以凭借某种难以复
制的算法跳过蛮力，一眼看到棋盘的本质。
但是，无论人怎么想，这样的局面当然不可能永远延续下去。就在今天，国际顶尖
期刊《自然》报道了谷歌研究者开发的新围棋AI。这款名为“阿尔法围棋”（AlphaGo
）的人工智能，在没有任何让子的情况下以5:0完胜欧洲冠军，职业围棋二段樊麾。

大脑的神经传导物质5-羟色胺（5-hydroxytryptamine，5HT）是个很关键的东西，
经常用来做anti-depressed药物，所以一般抑郁症患者会缺乏5HT
然后，万恶的科学家（饶毅）就把合成5HT的酶从小鼠的基因里敲出了。这个可怜
的小鼠就变gay鸟！！同时对待female和male，它对female视而不见，坚定的跟在
male后面跑，还英勇的冲上去爆菊了！！（原文还有个video，，，看的姐都羞涩
了。。。）
然后，万恶的科学家又给直接向大脑里注射了5-HT，这可怜的小鼠又被掰直了！！

这位也算是新人，06年回国的，今年已经一篇PNAS，一篇Nature Immunology了。看简
历，也是熬了八年博后才回来的。国内现在也开始飙文章了，裴刚09年已经Cell，

给Nature投稿：一个失败的故事
60多年前（45，46年），浙江大学教师贝时璋，王淦昌，束星北，何增禄四位教授在
Nature上共发表了6篇论文。自那以后浙江大学教师在就没有在nature上以第一作者（
或通信作者），且第一单位发表过论文（第二单位还是有的，例如童利民教授）。值得
一提的是，上个月18日刘树生教授的一篇论文，实现了第二个顶级期刊Science零的突
破。
近20年来，浙大每年都有一些教授向Nature，Science投稿，主要集中在生科院，医学
院，农学院等。据我所知，其中汪元美，罗琛，吴平等教授的工作已经很接近发表在
Nature，Science上的标准。刘树生教授更是十年 |

rejected by Nature. In a conference, one of the Nature Editors said that
Nature has too many good manuscripts which they have to reject. It could be
in this context, they launched Nature Communications. |

It is a shame to see Nature, which nearly all scientists, including myself,
regard as the one of the most prestigious and influential physical science
magazines to publish a thinly-veiled biased article like this. Granted, this
is not a peer-reviewed scientific article and did not go through the
