I did not believe my eyes that my application was approved when I checked
online (I got my receipt # from my USCIS I-797A letter). Thank God. But I
have many unsuccessful stories in my life. Therefore, I still think it means
0 before I get the final success, I mean 485.
I filed Eb1a because I did not have any other choices. I had no sponsors.
NIW is slow. A lawyer recommended by a friend did not provide much useful
information last year. I did not know how hard Eb1a was either. I just filed |

conference abstracts. My referees are from German, Japan, US. Three of 6
are independent. Because my case is very weak, I didn't even dare to submit
485 with 140, also my lawyer didn't suggest me to do so. I have 15 or so
reviews from 6-7 Journals, including several chinese journals. So I claimed
review, contribution. 140 was submitted on 11/16/2010 and they mailed out

1. I had some graduate student awards, which is in some sense competitive. I
included these in my contribution part, showing that one of the awards only
award one graduate student in my field each year, and for the other award,
I got a letter from the president of my university (which has >40,000
students). I am not sure whether they helped.
2. My case is not common here since I do not have much citation, so only one
lawyer I asked said he could try-:)

My lawyer said if I want to appeal, I need to pay him 1500 legal fee.
I already paid him 4500 for I-140 plus 1500 for RFE response.
And they had some unprofessional conducts:
1) It took them 1.5 years to get my case ready (They wouldn't do anything
unless I sent them multiple emails to push)
2) They usually responded to my email within 4 to 7 days.
3) And my RFE response deadline was Nov. 24 (TG day). Despite that I told

My company lawyer filed my EB3 China labor certification on 10/2003.
Then in 04/2006, they told me they converted old pending LC to PERM
and recaptured the earlier priority date of 10/2003. The PERM get
approved and I140 approved based on that, in 07/2007, they filed EB3
China I485. They always insist the old PD is recaptured, so my VB should
current now. Now they told me due to some unexpected filing error,

We filed 485 in 2007 based on my LD's EB3, but the date is not current yet.
I guess we need wait more than 6 months.
Based on my own job, my PERM and 140 already approved, my EB2 now is current
this month. Can we submit I-485 based on my EB2? Will there be any trouble
or confusion? We really want to speed up and get the GC ASAP.

I spent the early morning busy in last ditch of packing and clean up my room
. I was running late for my hike and also, unfortunately I was further
delayed by my landlord lady's lecture on "how to find a job" and "how to
conduct a good interview". By the time arriving at the trailhead, it was
already 10:50. 50 min later than my plan. Oh, well, not big deal I thought.

life. A week ago, I thought it might never happen to me. Before this, my
best record was 86, registered last year. This season, I had never bettered
91 strokes. It has been fairly frustrating after hours and hours of hard
work. I fixed my hook, and I started with big slice. I straigtened my drive,
and my irons start to top off...

ball at impact like hogan did. I am working on my transition and pivot to
achieve that.

Just take time on your swing. When I swing my club, the best time I know
exactly where my club is at.
If you can feel the same way, a consistent timing won't be an issue for you.
What I am afraid is, say, when I do backswing, I put too much tension on my
arms (which is not necessary), I can't generate any power from my arm from
starting my downswing. I will hit snipper hook for sure. |
