purchase price is way different than MSRP
Let's compare with Impreza (top car at 20-30k range) vs. Malibu
Impreza 45.3% MSRP after 5 yrs. But purchasing prices is very firm at say
94% (to mimic typical price at invoice). The five year cost is 94% - 45% =
49% MSRP.
Malibu say 30% (I need to check, but it much be even higher here), but
typical purchase price is only about 72% MSRP. The five year cost is 72% -

However, in reality, these other funds all have $10k minimal, that means
that you will have to have at least $83k to actually be able to mimic the
portfolio. With FFNOX, for IRA, the minimal is $2.5k.
You are right, if these funds are available through 403b or 401k, where
there is no minimal requirement, then it is doable. |
