讲的是50年前某欧洲一流魔法学校H招到一名高材生Tom。这位Tom玉树临风，才高八斗
，深得各位Faculty喜爱。Tom同学致力学术，广交学友。可惜木秀于林，风必摧之。毕
业时申请留校做Faculty,虽然通过了Commitee,但被某学霸D黑掉.
Tom同学郁郁不得志只得游学四方。做了几轮independent investigator之后，颇有些
建树，故又回到H校申请Faculty。不想D学霸竟然已经升任校长。Tom面试不成后愤愤离
去。
Tom的学术影响日益加强，不断开创新领域，特别是在longevity方面的研究。跟风者甚

ring)，女方是不送男方钻戒的(看来只有男方向女方求婚了)。结婚时双方互赠素圈戒
指(称为wedding bands)，这才是以后生活中经常戴的戒指。wedding bands因为 便宜
所以经常戴着也不用怕掉怕被抢，而engagement ring因为很贵所以一般都是在某些场
合才戴上的。
我上个月花了折合8400元买了一对白金wedding bands，没有任何样式，就是一对
圈 圈。需要说明的是白金不是铂金(platinum)，白金是white gold，还是gold的一种
， 不过因为颜色是白的而与黄金(yellow gold)区分开来，价钱上白金和黄金是一样的
， 都大大低于铂金的价格。另外需要说明的是要去好的商家买，以后若是圈圈的尺寸
不合适了还可以拿过去改尺寸。
买engagement ring花了我很多时间，需要说明的是，如果有条件，一定要买个钻

心提供的资料，太原近期每日交易量已经上涨到300万公斤。其中，近九成的蔬菜品种
价格都有明显下降。
据太原市价格监测中心对河西农副产品批发市场监测的数据情况看，太原市23个受
监测蔬菜品种中，有20个品种的价格呈下降态势，下降面达到86.96%，降幅在3.17%—
59.09% 之间。其中，降幅在 30%以上的有大白菜、西葫芦、韭菜、菠菜、黄瓜、蒜苔
、生菜，分别为59.09%、50.00%、43.21%、36.47%、36.24%、 34.92%、34.35%。而冬
瓜、土豆、胡萝卜这3种蔬菜批发价格有所上升，升幅分别为32.89%、25.00%和7.95%。

说服老婆花了很多功夫 她还把我的一张古董钢制的stool给偷偷扔了）
把玩的时候 经常感叹 美国几十年（一般我喜欢的是60年前的东西）前制造的东西真的
是瓷实啊 基本都是大湖区的州生产的 像Ohio, Michigan
钢材基本是不生锈的 油漆也是基本完好 转椅的seat和靠背上用的人造革弄干净像新的
一样 唯一撑不住的是里面垫的海绵（都成粉了）
如果是铝制的（atomic age的）用buffer一打光 像新的一样
一张30x60的tanker desk, 全钢制的，加起来总重量得有300磅，同志们，300磅的钢材
做一张带抽屉的写字台！60年代的老货
这都不是什么高科技 但是角角落落都透着quality, longevity, workmanship, 体现的
是实力和霸气
可惜 现在的美国让我鄙视 |

long due to they continue to build new F-15s. For a single fighter plane,
the longevity is usually less than 20 years.
Plus, the F-22 built so far had structural issues that can cause a
shortened life. The F-22 fighters are new and they will not enjoy the long
period of production improvements compared to F-15.

BTW，生物钟可不是几千几万年就能进化出来的。从非常原始的藻类就已经有生物钟了
，所以起码有几百万年的进化历程。 |
