我知道Autozone给免费查，但我现在的车停在车库里，SES灯亮，而且无法加速，踩油

是2004买的，保修期已过。昨晚我把电池断开，为的是clear code,然后看是否service

经低于Low Limit level了。于是重新加了些coolant,接上电池后，重新启动。ses灯不
亮了，也可以加速了，没多开，就在小区里转了一圈，好像没什么问题。我想是不是
coolant level低，使得车子进入保护状态（网上有人叫“limp in mode”）.如果过几
天，问题再出现，只能去dealer那查了。我知道nissan: altima的throttle position

Any time I've seen the P0171 code on other vehicles, that exactly what it was #1) dirty/faulty MAF sensor. 2) Vacuum leak. Usually somewhere around the upper intake manifold (gasket, O-ring, etc..)
To look for vacuum leaks, you could use a hose in the ear (yeah, I know, Don's getting funny!). Seriously, use a vacuum hose with one end near your ear and the other end moved around the engine to likely leak points - hose nipples, gaskets, and so forth. 别听人瞎说了！
第一，在车行修车，换了sensor不clear code的事我还没有到过，所以我从来不想当然。
第二，没有试车就说这种换档不顺的状态是正常的，我很怀疑
第三，所谓limp mode 的解释看是很专业，实际上我就不好说了。我就给你讲一个实例
吧，今天我
帮一个朋友的朋友修了ford escort,车子是98年的，十多万迈了，最近几周车子出现怠
速不稳，红
灯前熄火，去autozone 查code说是bank one lean fuel.问题可能是mass air flow
sensor,也可能是O2 sensor，车主自己清洗了mass air flow sensor,更换了air
filter，no help.车主干脆把mass air flow sensor 拔下来了，情况稍微好点，但是
一样的
怠速不稳，红灯前熄火。我检查以后发现是PCV valve 的管子老化破裂导致真空泄漏，
于是把PCV
valve 和管子一起换了，然后也没有断电清ｃｏｄｅ就发动车子了，ｇｕｅｓｓ
ｗｈａｔ？
问题解决，症状消除，行车电脑没有因为我们没有清ｃｏｄｅ而发出任何错误的指令。 |

maf拆掉后,车进入limp mode,发动机可以在只依靠气门传感器的情况下工作,

代码，是P0710和P1637。车店说有一个负责换档信号的部件（ESM，electric shift
module，又叫做Shifter bezel）坏了，需要更换。部件本身800元，工钱200元。
对这个部件俺是一窍不通，在网上搜索了一下，看到的都列在下面了。
俺想请教的是，换这个东西工钱200元是不是太贵？部件价格俺还没有查到，实在是太
笨了。
大切诺基是2005年的（二手），里程54k。网上老美说ESM这个情况很多，有人说非换不
可也有人说reset一下就能好，莫衷一是。

you can drive your car to a nearest shop for a quick replacement. When the
engine is overheating, the computer will put the car into limp mode which
allows you to drive at something like 5MPH.
Keep in mind, the part is usually not available from an indy shop. When that
fails and you are not prepared, be ready to spend a fortune to tow your car
to the dealership.

light亮(wrench light),引擎转数一下子到两三千转，速度上不去，应该就是网上一堆
人抱怨的limp home mode。两次都是在上坡。找个地方停下来熄火以后，再打着车就正
常能开了，当时没经验，以为只是偶尔挂不上档，换个transmission oil就好了。最近
这毛病又犯，这车在我手上跑了8k迈左右，大多数时间正常，直到最近这毛病又犯，而
且很频繁，估计快到寿终正寝的时候了。
另外还有些和老taurus一样的小毛病，vacuum leak，EGR valve。免费清洗更换
throttle body的那封信我也收到了，这辆车倒是没这个毛病。
我本来还是有点修的想法的，压死骆驼的最后一根稻草是，我又跑去查了下autocheck
，居然在我买之前一年有auction as frame damage。。。不过没事故记录。买前我查
carfax居然什么没有，邪门了。这状况即时自己去换个used transmission也没啥意思

这些汽车可能会不正常的进入“瘸腿回家模式”(limp home mode)。NHTSA已收到近
1500起投诉和3起由此引发的事故。这包括59起2010-2011 fusion的不正常熄火投诉，
80%的投诉都在2012年3月之后，有上升的趋势。
除此之外，还有2辆2009 escape被检测出油门节流阀处于常开或常关的状态，车主报告
说那车反复的熄火，前冲。福特向NHTSA透露这是由于09年6月-10月生产的油门节流阀
的控制电路有误。根据保修条例，福特已经更换了27505个节流阀。
目前还没有关于这些的recall，但是NHTSA的调查可能会导致相关的recall。 |

我现在学校做postdoc，持有cap-exempt的H1B，有效至今年8月31日。半个月前拿到一个
公司的offer，公司希望我9月1日就开始上班。我第一次申请cap-subject的H1B，
公司律师说2007年有一个什么memo，即使有cap，10月1日之前也能合法工作。
因为我现在的H1B 8月31日到期，律师递交了两份申请：
一份是H1B extension, 将我现在的H1B延长到9月30日；
一份是H1B transfer, 将我的H1B的sponsor转到新的公司，9月1日开始。
各位觉得靠谱吗？ USCIS批准的可能性大吗？
要是USCIS只能准许10月1日开始新的cap-subject H1B的话，那我9月份是不是就
只能回国签证去了？ 多谢！
