A 60-year-old Texas woman wasn't taking any chances Monday morning when she
heard two intruders enter her home, grabbing her pistol and shooting one of
the would-be thieves dead, police said.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, confronted the two armed men

Fayetteville, N.C. — Police said Thursday that a homeowner who shot and
killed an intruder last weekend wouldn't face criminal charges.
Jerry Riley, 54, of 593 Tokay Drive, said a stranger confronted him as he
entered his home Saturday night. Riley said he pulled a handgun on the
intruder, and the two men then struggled over the gun.
The gun went off, and the intruder took the pistol and ran out of the house,
police said.

A man armed with a box cutter pushed his way into an Aurora home early
Friday morning and attacked a male guest who was sleeping on the couch
before the intruder was shot to death by the man who lived there, police
said.
The alleged attacker, who has not been identified, knocked on the back door
of a single-family house at 1672 Jamaica St. around 3 a.m. The man who lived

LILBURN, Ga. (AP) - Gwinnett County police say a homeowner shot and killed 1
of the intruders when two men kicked in his front door.
The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. Friday when the men knocked at
the door and when no one answered, kicked it in.
