非常郁闷。甚至晚上都做噩梦了。更夸张的是，要去的前一天晚上，我几乎一宿睡不着
。满脑子在想明天会发生的事！我感觉我都要成精神病了。
在DAY ROOM有人大吵，大骂，然后又跑到一旁做运动。还有个黑人，我一去就握着拳头
绕着我一圈一圈的转，眼神很猥亵，口里还一直念着BEAUTIFUL,我真怕他会过来打我，
或者来扯我的衣服。我想问问大家去MENTAL HOSPITAL实习都怎么调节自己心态啊？ |

一家nursing home reh的白班12x3/wk,
另一个是hospital夜班8x5/wk.
貌似nursing home的收入还高一点，但是据说nursing home基本不可能按时下班。
我很犹豫，不知道是不是还是hospital更好一点啊？大家指点一下吧。

很多LTAC打着医院的头号，其实是 long term care facility. ICU dumping ground
sounds more like LTAC. Please be careful before you accept the offer? 通常
ICU不会超过2个病人对一个护士。一定要问清楚，病人护士比例。这最反应问题。 如
果他们告诉你会带3个以上的病人，这就不是什么ICU了， 即使是ICU， 给你三个病人
，建议先保住你的license再说，别去。自己要慎重！
上一帖是针对真真的医院， 一护士对less than 2 patients ratio的情况下，可以接

我问了另外一个护士朋友，她的回复差不多也是这个意思：“I think if there is no
contract, just go for it. It is easy to find the next one after you have
some experience."
另外非常重要的，关于它是不是真正ICU的问题，医院网站上面：

pm, and third shift is from 11pm to 7am.
In some hospitals, they have pharmacists only work at night. But in some
hospitals, maybe everybody has to work some evening or even night shifts. It
is all depends on where you work and how they assign the shifts. Some

然后他们又强迫employee打flu shot， 如果拒绝， 就得带3个月口罩， 被发现不带，
年底罚款。
最近医院又开始派人到clinic视察， 看你看完病人洗不洗手， 看你的staff对病人态
度好不好， 还拿个小本记录。
昨天又找我谈病人的满意度调查，说下三个月他们要随机抽查， 要求整个clinic达到
93%满意率。 如果达不到， 年终罚款。 说起罚款， 我刚刚听说别的clinic的一个医
生去年被罚了几千， 他一气之下， 2个星期前某一天， 给clinic打了一个电话，
quit了。 这个医生很有名， 有很多病人， 这几天天天有他的病人抱怨把医生丢了。

生complain一点事情提了好几年意见都得不到重视。
但是现在的医疗和经济环境下，小作坊式的group已经很难生存了，大的group或者
hospital正是因为有这样的人力物力去支持，才有能力在市场上竞争。

医药代表给买午餐，固然好，但不给买，也没什么不对啊。为什么午餐得有人给送才能

了从楼梯上摔下来，右腿膝盖错位。骨科两个小时前在病床前把膝盖复位了，不过病人
右小腿疼痛越来越严重，伴有眼色改变。急诊怀疑伤了血管，于是就叫了外科。
急诊大概是其他所有科都不喜欢的一个科室了，他们的consult很多是在你不方便的时
间和地点。急诊也知道自己的地位，所以个个都是人精，说话很有分寸，让你觉得他们
是没办法了才叫consult。急诊住院都是大学那边过来轮转的，第一年要做一个月的创
伤外科, 跟我们比较熟，所以他们的consult我们来者不拒。相比之下，有些医院的外
科要是觉得consult不值得一看，在电话里就会回绝掉，连脸都不会露一下。
病人叫Nina，是个白人，看起来还像个高中生。我一进房间，她见着又有一个白大褂进
来，翻起了白眼。我手还没碰着她的腿，她就开始狂叫疼。问她问题，回答要么是”I

For example, if you want to get ibuprofen from retail, do you really got
consult from pharmacist? If you have GI bleeding or acute renal failure, you

儿医。儿医发现可疑感染，然后做检查，第六天检查报告出来，单纯疱疹病毒（herpes
）阳性病毒感染。当天急诊住进医院，被告知病毒感染可能危害很大，因此抽血抽尿抽
脑脊液化验。现在基本是定下来住院治疗三周，后续药物治疗半年。
孩子在这么短的时间里受到这么大痛苦，作为家长，心里不是滋味。我想问问这种情况
下，孩子出生的医院有没有责任。我该如何寻求帮助，讨回公道，把损失降到最少，最
好能得到赔偿。
另外，在生娃期间我和太太都没有任何疱疹病毒感染和发作症状，顺产。

那样的医生一年赚40万差不多了，要很有名才能赚100多万，因为人去MSM的主要目的不
是为了赚钱，而是research.
但自己独立开诊所的医生根本不可能没有钱，每年光倒腾medicare就不少了，有次我去
NYC的小诊所体检，丫的老头还是gyn的fellow，前后不到30分钟，我回头一看charge了
我的insurance 4000多刀。

还有很多与marriage有关的权利也很重要（但不那么能打动人心）。

call from an administrator at the hospital who asked me if I wanted to come
and visit today. (which is unfortunate since I DO have a job!) but we set a
date for Weds. to visit, since I missed the ONLY real visitation on Sunday.
So, I am guessing that Chris put the fear into them! Isn't it fantastic
