本来想当个放羊妈, 能不推就不推, 现在可好, 不得不亲自出马推了.
儿子上K, 学校没有作业, 真是一点没有. 我觉得呢, 英文嘛,偶就放给学校了, 偶最多
就是配合学校每天陪儿子读读书. 至于写, 娃本来就不爱写, 我也懒得逼, 所以在家从

我们发现了一个，可能会便宜点的PRE－K（全天而言），带娃去参观，结果待了一天，
老师怂恿我们上K。LD去接的，他们谈了１小时，回来说，我们还是上K吧。
我家娃，１２月的生日，上K，就得这个私校，而且至少要上２年，这样２年要多花至
少１万５。
我觉得有点悬，我们去年才开始上daycare，现在也就认识２６个字母，１－２０酱紫
，完全不会读书。数手指能做个１０以内加法。老师说，这个够了。（我参观过他们的
pre-k，现在都能读简单的书了）
上不上这个K，我很纠结，主要担心跟不上，抹杀娃的信心。不过LD很想她上。

nothing should be consumed raw. So "Sushi grade" is nothing but a marketing

八月初回到学校的时候，虽然说家里是包床包家具的，但那个装饰用的方形table自然
是作不了学习用的课桌的。网上有张长方形木桌子看起来很不错$20，在一堆桌子里这
个价钱也还算合理，我一看见就发邮件过去了，但是人家说是下午五点已经有人约好要
来看了，他说到时若不成交再与我联系。后来五点过不到一刻钟，贴子删了。后来我继
续找桌子，在效外一家仓库里找到一张以刚才那张比较像，桌面大，方便放两三个显示
器，只是表面刻损得厉害，找到这样一张桌子已属不易，桌面就再想办法吧。后来因为
意识不够我把学校自己办公桌上的玻璃拿回家去放在上面用了一段时间，办公室里，因
为是自己桌子上的玻璃，不用就是了。后来据说系里的大牛在他的课上把我暗讽损得非
常狼狈，听说来心理很不舒服。

儿子现在上K,马上就要毕业了， 秋天要去elementary school上1 grade了。
今天跟着儿子K组织的小学参观团去转了一圈， 很有感触啊。
儿子要去的elementary school,是我们这里最老的，看起来很不起眼，里面有些陈旧拥
挤的感觉。 不过去参观了五个1 grade的班， 感觉就好多了。
K的小朋友到1 grade class, 那里的老师让1 grade的孩子一对一的跟K的小朋友介绍教
室里的新鲜玩意， 满好玩的， 大孩子锻炼了讲解能力， 小朋友也兴趣盎然。
让我惊讶的是， 一个班里面，老师给孩子们show wii-sports, 玩了一轮保龄球。
另一个班里面，居然养了无数小动物， 最感兴趣的是有个保温箱在孵鸡蛋， 今天正好
孵出来两只， 湿呼呼的歪来歪去， 特好玩。 还有养着小蝌蚪， 鱼，乌龟， 荷兰猪
等等， 搞得整个班特生动。

度了。 学生们自己也不用自我感觉那么良好， 会有些促进竞争作用了。
看看真正的好学校面对这个所谓过高难度的test的performance吧， 只能说， 还不够

learning progress) on a regular basis. For me, I provide each student with a
detailed grade report every month, including grade on HW, quiz, or exams,
even including class attendance/discussions. I believe it is our responsibility
to do this.

Level 5 starts with master degree. Level 7 starts with PhD degree.
Level 8 is a group manager. Level 10 is a department head. Level 11,
director or fab manager. Level 12, VP. CEO is grade level 13, the
highest. This is just regular grade level standard for engineers, more
or less related to your position. There is no grade level 4 but 3, 5-
