got two fractures and one of them may need surgery.
Just received a letter from car insurance company. They said the body injury
claim may exceed my coverage limits. I called the adjuster and tried to get
more information, but she is not helpful at all and sounds very rude.

上周末在麻州I93上最右侧车道正常行驶，附近没有exit出口，路况天气一切正常。当
时有traffic，大家车速都不快，20-30 mph左右的样子。我开一辆12年 corolla，老婆
怀孕，预产
期这月底，岳父岳母刚来美国没多久，准备帮忙照看。
一辆Jeep车速度超快，估计有60mph左右，突然直直撞到我的trunk。当时我和前面的
SUV车还有近20米的距离，一下子又把我的车推到前面的suv上。我可怜的corolla，刚
买一年的新车，前后夹击，trunk没了，前面也损坏严重，三厢车一下子变成一厢了。
当时老婆怀孕坐副驾驶，岳父母坐后排，后车床玻璃全碎，6个airbags全都打开了。后
排车门变形，已经无法打开，车内有烟尘。我当时头部撞到方向盘，还好有airbag，只
有短暂的蒙蒙感。我很慌张，紧忙下车，从副驾驶上把老婆父母从车里脱了出来。打了
911，警察和救护车急忙赶到。老婆小腹疼痛，和妈妈上了急救车。妈妈爸爸腿碰了下

个女性司机，20岁，出来后就跪在地上哭了。周围仅有两个目击者。两分钟后，警察到
来，记录了情况。在警察面前，她当着我的面承认是她闯红灯。我还安慰她，如果身体
无碍不会给她trouble。我让警察喊了救护车和拖车，经医生检查，没有脑出血，没有

面最好吃”那样。
正面40%碰撞，XC90成绩在一些点上不错，但光是看A柱存在位移这一点马上就
disqualify它作为“最安全”的资格。40%正碰里面，A-pillar rearward movement这
项指标极其重要。
顶棚硬度XC90甚至还差过MDX。
small overlap，XC90滑开了，没法看出结构到底有多强。但是在真正现实事故中，假
如地面摩擦力、撞击速度各项因素的不同导致XC90没有像测试里那样滑开，而是要硬吃
碰撞力量那最终后果会如何？没人知道。
侧碰XC90的测量成绩是最优秀的之一（因为Lexus RC成绩也一样好）。但可惜，传力结
构设计有缺陷，车体把过多撞击力量传给了驾驶员。IIHS也说了，在侧碰的测试条件下
，XC90驾驶员“rib fractures would be possible in a crash of this severity”
。连Corolla的侧碰都不会有这种情况，因此XC90其实在这项上其实是很丢脸的。

可能是中间有误会，nahshon&Hutchinson 08年那篇文章影响力比xue的文章大，按xue
的说法说是很多人问他模型和Nahshon&Hutchinson的有什么关联(谁模仿的谁）。 其实
在Hutchinson 08年文章里是明确提到过xue的文章的，没有故意隐瞒。
感觉楼主比较气不过的是，一开始Hutchison是不相信ductile fracture是J3
dependent的。文章被JMPS和IJSS二连拒，最初推行自己的模型阻力非常大（说不定
Hutchinson还是审稿人呢）到头来花了一肚子劲说服Hutchinson（或更多committee
member)，最后Hutchinson自己觉得，哦对，是要J3 function的，然后细致推导，并发
表了08年那篇文章,结果影响还非常大。
个人认为Hutchinson的做法不失大师风范，从最开始的否定，到逐渐改变态度，并且积
极修正，细致推导。这不真是探寻真理和科学的正确态度么？难道要一开始否定，就要
