问银行说是因为他们最后一刻做了一个“field review”，就是相当于又重新做了一次
appraisal。 请问这个常见么？ 总计appraisal fee 是$1050， 够夸张吧（贷款额也

这相当于4吨水的容积，貌似在正常工况下 这个桶基本是满的，只有溢出来的水才能流
到leach field。不知道有没有表Gauge可以看出什么时候沉积物就快要满了 |

是参加不了了，或者只能参加一场，结果提前出生，2/11的那场实在是无法拖着病体，
再加上脑袋都是空白的，于是在医院跟系里的头儿商量，老师很通融的帮我延期到三个
月以后。关于2/18，也是挣扎了好久，先跟头儿说不考，后来狠心又改了主意，决定去
尝试，否则怕无法通融，这样就要等到明年了。于是那个星期我就崩溃了，疼痛+缺觉+
复习，撑了4个小时考完，就绝望了。今天接到通知，说过了，不知道是不是老师同情
我。
宝宝生下20多天了，没有一天晚上有整觉睡过，身体还疼，今天这个消息还是另我开心
了一下。
顺便鼓励一下所有在学习上班的妈妈们，加油！看着宝宝熟睡的脸，我也可以睡了，虽
然过不了多久又要爬起来。。。 |

trip来。下星期元宝他们学校open house，元宝他们班搞得主题是space，于是老师上
周末牺牲了自己的周末休息时间，组织大家去天文馆，陶冶一下小朋友们的天文情操。
老师这么敬业，家长显然不能跌份，于是，星期六早上，肚皮娘打着哈欠，拖着两个死
活不肯起床的小鬼，开了一个小时的车，来到了以当年挑战者号失事而牺牲的那名中学
老师的名字命名的天文馆。一进去，发现情况比上次情人节party还混乱。一问才知道
，原来老师把天文馆的开门时间搞错了，还有整整半个小时才开门。于是，上次教室里
面混乱的一幕在天文馆又重新上演了。有小朋友追追打打的，有小朋友复读机一样不停
问家长怎么我还不能进去的，还有无数家长老师都跟犯了大烟瘾一样打哈欠流眼泪盼星
星盼月亮一样等着天文馆cafeteria开门好买那杯救命的咖啡的，更有元宝这个看见老
师好似看见亲娘一把抱住人家大腿死活不放的。喂，你亲娘就在边上看着呢，小朋友你
注意点影响好吗？
好容易等到天文馆开门，大人小人一拥而入。天文馆不大，分上下两层，各种航天展品

前段时间军版有人发帖子讨论什么是智商，恰好在一本书中看到一段，摘录与此，本人
比较同意这样的说法.即，对事物的一种深刻的理解,以及其与其他事物可能的联系，应
该在这个时代最为难得的智商。对今天的中国人或许更为如此!快慢其实很大程度上和
记忆力有关. 互联网的时代记忆力的重要性应该是大大降低了，EVERNOTE 可以一瞬间
记录下你愿意记录下的任何音，影，文字。在如此信息爆炸的年代与其说记忆力重要，
不如说一个系统记录，管理信息的能力更重要。
当然这一切自然取决于你从事什么样的工作，一个病秧秧de数学家在农场主的眼里就是
个废物！
P.S.我相信军版很多人工作中用到这位数学家的分布论

让他修改推荐信，让他写好PL...等等。不过，所有他的东西都不可再相信，你自己好
好版上考古，采用他的框架（毕竟他是律师，好歹应该有点常识），自己好好修改，最
后自己投递到USCIS.这种不负责的律师，在free的情况下，全靠他，很危险。

范？如果有,哪里可以看到？我困惑主要是因为我同时在两个小领域，找不出一个大词来概括。
另外，我绝大部分的文章发表在同一个期刊上，查Journal Citation Report, its
Subject Categories 只有一项，如果要把这个期刊和其它的“本领域”的比，是不是
只能在同一个Subject Categories下面比？
比文章的引用的话，又是按照什么标准（或者什么trick)来决定peer papers?
和其他faculty比的话，除了那个The Chronicle Faculty Scholarly Productivity
Index，还有别的途径吗？
我有3个NASA & NSF research grants, 值得在PL (in Contributions?)中提吗？版上
