我男朋友之前有过一次not-at-fault accident，就是别被人追尾了，他没有任何责任。
我quote了一下发现，如果不说我男朋友之前有过这次not-at-fault accident，把我男朋友加到
我目前的policy里面只需几刀，可是如果说他有过这次not-at-fault accident，那就要加近100
刀。
我的疑惑是：
1）如果我隐瞒那次not-at-fault accident，保险公司会发现么，他们查不查以前的事故记录？如
果以后真出了accident，理赔会遇到麻烦吗？
2）如果不把我男朋友加进去，以后如果他开我的车，出了事故，如果是at fault的accident，保险
公司会按照我买的保险理赔么？如果是not-at-fault的accident呢？

州，要追究at-fault driver。In a multi-car collision， the car that failed to
stop is at fault for all of the damages。所以不管在non-fault州还是fault州，
如果是第三辆车顶着第二辆车撞上第一辆车的，第二辆车都没有赔偿第一辆车的责任。

个汽车保险公司在闹，说亏损得很厉害，当然他们也不会直接去说亏损凶了,而是列举
NO FAULT的种种好处。确实有一定的好处就是出了重大医疗事故能够马上有人来赔，而
政府因此受到得骚扰就会少很多，社会重大负面新闻也少很多，和谐鸟。而一般的小事
故WHO CARES特别是政府爽了，只要没出人命或者重大事故。
在重大事故上，AT FAULT和NO FAULT得主要区别就是行为的及时性，而为了换取这一点
好处，政府和保险公司联合找消费者买单，变相提价。这几年保险公司大约是处于盈利
状态的，一般来说杠杆率大于2%保险公司就算是赢利了。看起来其实也不多，因为特别
是一些小保险公司，基本上也就刚刚超过2%，所以看来密州在NO FAULT上得赔付率也是
相当高得，话说回来，这样对于汽车生产行业和维修行业也是一种促进。 |

就注册去上课了，发现价格已经改了，是$19，

现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不
过有个节约时间的方法，就是先到问题的一页，看完问题再点击“previous”回到前一
页寻找答案，利用IE的“编辑”菜单下“查找（在当前页）”的功能可以快速定位。如
果中途log off再回来log in，得一页页翻过之前做过的章节，不过不需要重新做题就
是。到达上次退出地方，就自动加载之前这一章的内容。

还是看下自己的term吧，一般买完保险会寄给你一个大信封，包含了term，insurance
card等一大堆东西：
目前美国的50州的法律在处理人身伤害保险这个问题上有三种方式：
1.区别事故过错方来确定赔偿方案，这种方式从法律称为Tort；
2.不区别事故过错方来确定赔偿方案，这种称为No-fault；
3.司机选择是买Tort类或者No-fault类保险。
举例来说，如果是在Virginia发生的车祸，有人受伤了，那受伤的赔偿首先由过错方的
保险公司承担，直到超出保险赔偿的额度；如果是在New York发生的车祸，有人受伤了
，那受伤的赔偿可以首先由过错方的保险公司承担，也可以首先由受伤方的保险公司承
担，直到超出保险赔偿的额度。
超出保险的额度之后由谁赔付，将看具体情况而定，这里不多谈了。
为什么会有奇怪的No Fault规定：似乎这与保险的一般用途，激励大家好好开车减少损

if it is other party fault, then why they didn't pay? it doesn't make sense.
it must be your fault too.
and I see 2 accidents that insurance has to pay for you and only one case is
paid by other driver. so your insurance is definitely going up, no matter
which insurance company you go to.

2. 设计前soil engineer要查资料，看site离各fault（可能多个）有多远，这些fault
产生地震的概率是多大，地震时最大地面加速度可能是多大，从而房子的防镇要求是多

3. 假若你的房子离fault远，那么设计的抗针能力也低一点。设计要讲经济效益，不会

有付工头工钱，工头就会放一个lien在房子上，必须付清工钱之后，这房子才能再被买

具体看哪个州和什么no fault policy，有的数目超过一定数量，

第一，我只是听朋友说的是这边考驾照容易。
至于考驾照查不查视力我不知道,因为我的驾照不是在这边考的。
我的经历是用外州的驾照"换"密州的驾照不查视力。
第二，就算是no-fault，不同的州也不一样。
密州no-fault的最初目的是为了减少车祸之后的诉讼。
no-fault的Liability主要包括三部分。如果你拿外州的车去密州注册，
至少需要买这三部分，SoS才给你注册。这三部分分别是：
(1)如果车祸中你自己受伤，不论对错，你的保险cover你自己的医疗费用，
.如果你不能工作，这部分还cover你三年的生活费用。
此项保额是政府规定的。（好像是up to 1M)
(2)如果你开车撞了别人的财产(房子，路灯，雨棚），或者你撞了别人停着的
汽车，注意，是停着的汽车，这部分会帮你给别人赔钱。这部分的保额也是政府
规定的, 1M。
(3)发生车和车之间的事故或者你撞了行人，并且你的责任大于50%，
此时有两部分要理赔，(a)给别人修车，你的保险公司只出500刀，
剩余由受害人自己出或者由受害人的collison保险cover；

我的理解是no-fault只限于人身伤害和误工费的补偿。因为这一部分往往是个很大的数
目，而且也是保险公司之间互相扯皮的焦点。所以，这一部分补偿在某些州适用no-
fault policy。也就是说不管事故是谁的责任，自己的medical bill，由自己的保险公
司负责。这样受伤者的医疗费可以很快得到补偿，不需要等保险公司交涉甚至打官司之
后才能处理。至于在这之后，自己的保险公司会不会向另外一方的保险公司去要钱，那
就不是我们需要管的事情了。对于我们来说，自己保险里面的Personal Injury
Protection (PIP)这一项就是花在这上面的。
财产损失是另外一回事。还是要按照责任分析来确定赔偿比例。
像你说的这种情况，你只有liability，所以车的损失、拖车费、修车期间租车的钱都
需要你自己去向对方的保险公司claim。能争到多少取决于你自己的水平和对方保险公

因为第一次碰到这种事情，一开始有点心慌。 我们保险公司不同意对方的结论，准备
inter-company arbitration。
collision是在MA， 对方的claim adjuster在PA，对方完全忽视MA laws
Standard of fault Rule （有兴趣的朋友可以看看下面的连接)，尽纠缠who hit who
。这些standard of fault 其实和who hit who 根本不相关的，比如左转的车，只要和
对面的车collision 就是左转车的责任，而且MA是只要at fault more than 50% 就等
于全责。

将因为我的科普受益，当然，我会从中受益，但是，你何必希望我完全不受益呢？你只
需要关注你是否受益就够了。
我事先已经估计到很多人是不肯做事，又喜欢说风凉话的。你的回复和支持将让我感到
我花时间值得。
我知道我的帖子不是所有人都喜欢，因为有人已经是老手了，我的初级篇以至于中级篇
在他们那里看来都不值一提。但是科普总得有人做。况且我很自信我的高级篇将对老手
