标 题: 下周一耶鲁有个关于河南黄河流域治理的讲座

时间地点介绍贴在下面。看上去是从抗战时期、蒋介石炸毁河南郑州花园口的黄河大堤
说起，到1941-43年的河南大饥荒。河南作家刘震云的中篇小说《温故一九四二》说的
就是那个事儿，大批河南人背井离乡逃难，还有很多人吃人的事件，惨不忍睹。建国以
后挖井、修渠，有个很出名的红旗渠。但现在黄河水一年比一年干，水渠的水也比以前
少很多。去年去河南，听当地人说因为挖井、修渠大量开发地下水，破坏了生态环境平
衡。这个讲座似乎还是持积极态度的。有关心这方面的朋友可以去听听。

Basically all "actual environmental work" is done by consulting companies.
Our company has only two types of environmental poisons: project manager who
interacts w/ consulting companies OR environmental technical researcher who
normally has Ph.D degree and develop new environmental technologies and
provide internal technical expertise. The capital fund spending on

我见到很多entry level的environmental consultant， 他们所学的专业多是
environmental science， environmental engineering 和 geology。 其次是
hydrology,chemistry 和 biology. 还有各种冷门专业，但基本上都能和环境或地球科
学扯上一点关系。我的感觉entry level对技术要求很低，不然不会有这么多不同专业
的人来干。到底有什么样的活呢？除了各种各样的杂活以外，估计就是做phase I and
phase II.
phase I 需要查资料，很多时候你得跑当地的衙们。当地是指你做的residential/
commercial/gov/military property 所在的地方，而不是 |

n多了，只有两个回应，其中一个还是个process engineer， 跟环境不沾边（电面没什
么问题，但他们最后还是要了一个跟他们目前一个客户以前合作过的人）。大公司职位
看到很多，很多也是entry level的，我也是基本每周都投，大小公司都有，但都是石
沉大海。
个人觉得，经验少于一年，硕士，无人推荐，找工作完全就是碰运气。老板多年不跟工
业界联系了，帮不了什么忙。有个同学，硕士，不是环境的，找的是系里其他老师的推
荐，马上就拿到了good year的offer。
本人还是想进工业界，因为不太愿意走学术。贴下本人主要经历，请教环境方面的前辈
：我的简历还有哪些需要改进的地方？ 目前求职方向有哪些需要注意的？
硕士gpa3.9，国内本科给水排水工程，gpa3.5左右。

水，需要多少超高压的水泵及电将水雾化。估计一个三峡是不够的。
更搞笑的是论文还被发在所谓的国际著名科学杂志《Environmental Chemistry
Letters》，作者是浙江省“千人计划”入选者，国家“千人计划”申请者（没有批准
），浙江大学特聘教授（待报到），美国北卡州立大学客座正教授俞绍才博士。

原文是发在 Olympics 班 对给编辑写信的回复。但现在觉得这还是该生物班的责任。
作为一个科学家，一个中国人，有这么个争议性大的热门课题，放过可惜了。90% 的工
作量是收集数据，但人多力量大，如果后来的收集数据多了，可以裁开发，力度更大。

下面的文章，“种子的践行”，是我今天从《科学美国人》2009-8上挖出来的，因为修
改书稿，发现草稿上引用了这个文件，却没有注出处，费了不少劲，才从豆丁网上找到
正本，却是严格的PDF版，不能抄贴，只好传给三千里外，在北京的儿子，请他帮忙打
下来。只过了不多时间，这个文件就在信箱里等着我了。

这篇编者的话，说的是美国转基因行业里发生的一件挺大的事情：孟山都等公司给科学
家立规矩，不许他们不经过公司的批准，擅自发表批评转基因科学和转基因技术的研究
报告，时间长达10年左右：一直到去年的8月，科学美国人发表这篇社评。在很长的时
间里，如果孟山都公司不喜欢哪个报告，那么它连同行评审的阶段都走不到。孟山都把
它手里掌握的知识产权——种子专利，当成了隔绝监督和科学批评的盾牌，用了10年，
