最近一两周来每天阳光灿烂、春风拂面，欣欣然已是初春的光景。打开电视更是春光无
限，满眼皆是开罗广场上飞舞的旗帜和广场上的年轻人闪闪发亮的眼睛和春风般的笑脸
。在那些年轻人的眼里我看到的是真实热烈的“爱情” – 对象是自由和民主！叫人不
由地想起那幅《自由女神引导着人民》的画。时常听到女性们批评说男性不懂得爱情，
其实他们不是不懂，而是通常他们所给予女性的 “爱”属于浅层次的对于异性的欲望
，上升不到爱的高度。男人们最深沉的爱情唯有在这样的时刻才充分显现出来，其中有
对于包括自己在内的人类的生存状态的休戚相关，有对群体、种族、国家的政治命运的
全身心投入。男人永远都是社会和政治的群体生物，那是他们的功业和理想所在，而女
人则更关注身边以及小圈子里的政治。那些开罗广场上的年轻人，在受了伤稍作治疗以

发帖数: 70028 | 12 今年5月20日，英国星期天《泰晤士报》刊登评论员文章，对中国在英国举办孔子学院充满敌对态度。该文章引用伦敦政治经济学院著名政治和外交学教授Christopher Hughes对孔子学院的强硬和冷战的言辞（见附件2， 英文原文）， 在英国引起一场不小的震动。
5月24日，美国国务院以签证为由，要求孔子学院中国教师限期离境,引起全美数十家孔子学院，以及和孔子学院合作的大学，一片哗然。
把这两件事情连系起来，不难看出，中国利用孔子学院向全球传播文化和语言，被西方一些右翼分子，当成是中国政府宣传软实力的工具。
作为英方的孔子学院院长，我对这个问题，也是感到非常困惑和震惊。
为什么，中国政府诚心诚意地花钱推广中国的文化和语言，会遇到如此想不到的打击和阻碍？中国政府应该如何对付这样的打击？如何应对今后更加意想不到的困难？
本人认为，中国政府应该做好如下工作：
其一，保持冷静的态度，认真研究对方各种持不同观点和态度的人群，采取有效措施，争取亲华力量，尽量化解冷战思维人士的冷战态度。

马英九指出，这个法庭的存在，应该是为国际争端定纷息争、避免走上冲突甚至战争。但是，这样的仲裁结果，不但没有排难解纷，反而增加了冲突的可能。「在背後操控的势力，看似赢了面子，其实却输了裡子。」
「菲律宾对中国」南海仲裁案，常设仲裁法院今天公布结果，称中国大陆在9段线范围内主张的历史权利没有法律依据，而南沙群岛的所有海上地物，均为礁岩，包括太平岛在内。
