more per week".
For monthly reporting, the BLS defines part-time as "those who worked 1 to
34 hours during the survey reference week". With that wording, I am not
precisely sure where 34.1 or 34.5 hours fit.

compensation.公司会同时向IRS申报这笔费用。
Self employment tax并不是指只有自雇的taxper才需要缴付。consulting fee,
commission fee,tips,神职人员的housing allowance 都subjected to self-
employment tax.这是因为公司在付给你先生咨询费的时候没有withhold social
security and medicare tax.
这里说明一些，self employment taxes不同于individual 的income tax.Self -
employment tax是指 social security tax and medicare tax only.Social security

司工作， 工作是Unpaid。 这个工作完全是为了让OPT生效。 小妹拿到employment

小妹5月（RD 10号）递的485， 用的是去年10月给学校International Student Office
开具的那份employment letter复印件。但是上面没有写Salary （尽管是0）！
当时律师也没有提醒我， 刚刚自己研究485的instruction才看见必须要有salary。。
。。 我6月22号打的指纹， 之后也没有LUD。
小妹是副申请人。 LG是主申请人， 他还在上学， 所以不需要employment letter。

要证明employment 这个事实, 还要证明“Progressive experience" "Progressive

议我开一个SEP IRA，因为可以多放钱进去，比transitional Ira放的钱多。今年情况
变化，我进了一家公司作为employee，大概工作一周四天半，但公司没有任何ira或者
401k，然后我又可以作为self employed工作一天半，这样我的收入大部分从公司获得
，小部分从self employed获得，而不是去年那样，所有的收入都是self employed获得。

Employment verification letter是些什么内容？这个letter是必需的吗？
我刚在加拿大毕业，之前没有在美国的工作经历，所以这次是在加拿大签新的H-1B。律
师给我的document list里面没有提到这个Employment verification letter，如果这
个Employment verification letter就是关于职位的描述和职位的薪水的话，这些都在
H1B petition package里面有描述啊！

employer从2011年3月到6月打工，给第二个employer从2011年6月到12月打工。因
employer说无法退给我，我现在想用Form 843跟IRS要回。
Form 843 Instructions说：
"Seperate Form Required
Generally, you must file a seperate Form 843 for each tax period or fee
year or type of tax or fee."
那就是说我有两个employer，就要填两张Form 843吗？social security和medicare也
需要分两张Form 843填吗？

了，那么申请非移民签证的DS160表上面“Were you previously employed”我该选Yes
还是 No 呢？如果选Yes, 就必须填写前雇主信息，而DS160表格却写着“Note:

现在我面试公司的employment applicaton form上要填前任雇主, 我的前任supervisor
, phone, and May we contact this employer?
我很不想让他们联系我的前任supervisor。我觉得我的前任supervisor不会给我说好话.
古怪的是这张表上还没有填reference 的地方. 只是表上有一栏 ‘State any other
information that you thin kwould be helpful to us in considering your
appilcaton’. 我打算把我的references填在这里.
我有几个问题， 恳请答案:
我要是在May we contact this employer? Check ‘Yes’. 他们会去查什么呢?
employment record check or reference check? 如果是单单的employment record,
我也不着急.
我怕他们做reference check.

以本人知道的一些信息，这样的推理看合理不？
（1）不是必须的。但是，逻辑上那么了不起的EB1A失业在家，移民官会有看法。各个
移民官的想法也不一样，和你别的方面强不强有关。所以，有人被RFE，有人没有RFE。
（2）有人被RFE，有人没有RFE还有一种可能：没有employment letter，移民官会打个
电话到你的公司，落实你表上填写的雇佣信息是正确的。如电话过去，你已经辞职或
laid-off，估计就有RFE。一切正常，就没有RFE（本人属于这一类）。
（3）移民官打电话到你的公司未必你知道。所以，有些人没有employment letter也没
有RFE，所以觉得完全不需要employment letter。
（4）有了employment letter未必移民官不打电话到你的公司。这只是推理。
总之，case by case。重要的不是你附了employment letter没有，重要的是移民官调
查你时，你能否有合理的反馈回去。
BWY：移民官给我的推荐人也打了电话，很简单：信是不是你写的。
