即使是骑车人的错，作为汽车驾驶员也应该在任何时候保持高度警惕。虽然在正常情况
下，我的右边是不应该出现其他车辆的，但你不能总是 assume 不正常的情况不会发生。
把自行车道堵上，也是为了 cyclist 的安全。虽然这么做看上去对 cyclist 不太
friendly，但安全永远比 good manner 重要。
不会从右边蹭到前面去。当然骑车的人犯错的也不少，所以开车的右转之前再看一眼也
是应该的。
自行车更安全，因为自行车无法确认右转的汽车是否看见自行车了。汽车要直行的话不
应该堵自行车道。

这里说说我骑过的几段风景：
3. Homestead PA - Boston PA（不是麻州那个波士顿！）
这段实际上就在Pittsburgh市内和市郊。Homestead出发点就在Waterfront mall（住在
匹兹堡的人都知道）。除了那座Riverton Bridge之外，其他乏善可陈，不值一看。而
且在McKeesport有些路段在人行道上。建议忽略这段，从波士顿PA开始（或在波士顿PA
结束）。
2. Ohiopyle PA - Meyersdale PA
这段大部分路程是沿着河流修的，在树木茂密的森林中骑行。trail的旁边就是
Cassleman River，河对岸是CSX公司（仍在使用的）铁路。风景不错。沿途有多座桥梁
和一个隧道（未开通须绕行）。全长1908尺（582米）高100尺（31米）的Salisbury
Viaduct是全线最长最高的桥梁，景色迷人。

cyclist and has been racing in Gran Fondo for years. And she is leaner than

runners have thin calfs which allows them
to run efficiently. Cyclists on the other hand have more powerful calfs.

现在纽约地区审查官(或者 DMV 官员)没有起诉肇事者，其实不是他（她）的错，而是
因为纽约州市刑事案件的标准问题。不同于其它州，纽约的有关汽车杀人的法律比较特
殊：如果司机驾车杀人，只对酗酒或吸毒的司机起诉其“驾车杀人”罪或“凶杀”罪。
如果想起诉“过失杀人”罪，必须证明司机在肇事的时候是“罔顾后果”地在开车（
reckless driving）；这是一个比较难达到的标准；而在其它州“过失杀人”罪只需证
明肇事者和其他普通司机相比，开车时没有“合理谨慎”地开（fail to exercise
reasonable care），这是一个较低的标准。因此，地区审查官(或者 DMV 官员)在这个
案子上也是照章办事，无能为力。
