Also to drivers who feel angry against cyclists after reading this article,
please keep in mind the road rules and infrastructure in US are not designed
with cyclists in mind. When the rule is not fair, it makes it much harder

). and I'm not even talking about bike messengers. I've also seen cyclists
jumping on an off sidewalks, riding on sidewalks, riding on the wrong side
of the road, all sorts of dangerous things to all road users, pedestrians,
cyclists, drivers etc.
yes, the article made it sound very bad, but everything she said I've
witnessed before and agree we cyclists need to act on it to gain respects

not severely injured.
The cyclist was going north on North Foothills Highway, near Longhorn Road,
when she was struck around 1 p.m. and thrown off her bike .
The woman, who is visiting Colorado from Missouri, remembers seeing
lightning around her and then waking up with people standing over her.

comments in our Chinese community. I never heard anything like this from the
American cyclists I know over the years. I have seen and heard about quite
a few really terrible bike crashes both on the road and in the races over
the years. Almost all of them came back on bike and back to race once they
recovered. It might happen to me someday. If it happens, this kind of

ago in Bicycle magazine about cyclists in Los Angels trying to get DOT to
put a white line on the only bridge some bike commuters have to use to get

road alone, harassing by cars would happen. Usually they tend to be SUVs or
pickup trucks yelling and even throwing beer cans.
Today I was surprised to be harassed by a car, in suburb of Montreal.

I don't understand why that many cyclists knocked on your cab while you
parked up to let the client out. Are they all that aggressive or it was the
way you stopped. Did you indicate clearly well in advance? Or you just pull
up all in a sudden? From the cyclist's point of view, it is really difficult
and dangerous to deal with cars/cabs who stopped this way as this is

美国类似的事情也不少。我见过好多次 cyclist 和司机互相比中指骂 F words 的。司
机 road rage 之后把 cyclist 撞伤撞死的也有,不见得比国内少。以前看到过一个
新闻说两个cyclist并排骑车挡道就是不让,一个医生开车终于找机会超过去之后来了
个 brake check,导致俩 cyclist 重伤。医生被判了9年。
这种事没办法,只能互相理解,谦让。cyclist稍微往右边靠点,司机也nice点。大家
都没事了。要是cyclist想着反正你不敢撞我所以我就是不让,司机在后面狂按喇叭,
双方火气都上来了,那早晚要出事。这个视频里的电动车主就是这号人。要知道美国自
行车还是合法占用机动车道的,而在中国是违法的。违法了还这么牛逼,被撞死了当然
大快人心,有人叫好可以理解。
叫好也说明,绝大部分司机是不敢这么做的。这个女司机用自己未来至少十几年的牢狱
生涯为代价,为有车一族除了一害,做了大部分司机不敢做的事情。 |

their numbers have yet to surpass 1 million. In contrast, there are 204
million personal vehicles on the road on a given day.
