发帖数: 1938 | 1 我在教育行业做过，我觉得common core也是不得已而为之。
美国教育是很不均衡的，州与州之间，学区与学区之间，差别很大。可以说高中毕业的
最低要求已经低的不能再低。所以，如果做的得当，实行common core，提高教育的基
准线，是有好处的。
但是还是有几个大的问题。
一是来自老师，我相信习惯了某种教学法的老师是不容易接受新生事物的。而且某些学
科（包括英语），如果限定了条条框框，对好的老师，反而是一种束缚。
还有就是怎么衡量common core的效果，从小bush时代到obama，教育是两党不多的共识
之一。推行的方法很不一样，但有一点很相似，所有的评价标准都要参考考试的分数。
可以说美国跟中国截然相反，应试教育的成分会越来越多，老师的收入也会和学生成绩
越来越相关。有些老师说，creative是没法用分数计算的。我完全赞成。
总体来说，美国的基础教育参差不齐，质量一般，学生一进入大学或者直接去工作，往
往压力很大。所以common core是一个trade-off的产物。最终还是要根据各个学区的
current stage来评判。

一月份的芝加哥，hilton酒店对面站着一群中国人。男女老少，各行各业，来自五湖四
海。
一面面迎风飘扬的国旗，一张张善良淳朴的黄色的脸，一颗颗热情似火的的爱国心，是
那么的真诚。远在千里之外，为了给自己国家的领导人加油助威，冒着严寒，在街上等
待超过3小时，为的只是看上他一眼，结果却是令人失望的。不仅没有看到他的真容，
连车队都没有见到。看着失望的群众小心的收起国旗，折起来，放到书包里，带着遗憾
，依依不舍的离开，看得我心都要碎了。

也许 能带给我 一些 benefits。
现如今在正式场合与人 交往或者去公共场所处理事情，最为不便 即是 show 别人 应
该 怎么样称呼 自己。对方看到我 的id 或者 在自己电脑系统中 找到 我的名字后，
大多数都会 如此反应：
“Mr. ...., how to pronounce your last name?”最起初，我还很负责的回答，是
[X i:]，对方 反应：“oh. [Sei]”，我再纠正，应该是[X i:]，对方反应：“oh. [
Rei]， 久而久之，我发现 被称呼 [Rei] 的时候居多，再后来，我自我介绍的时候，
便 称自己 [Rei]了。
更有甚者，打电话 来直接询问 " May I talk to Mr. Eleven"? 过了N 久，才反应过
来，原来 XI 真的是 eleven.
新core上台，新闻上 肯定少不了 相关报道，美国人耳濡目染 之后，对于 XI的发音应
该不会再有问题了 吧。 |
