上周一个电话面试，今天收到邮件，说进入下一个环节：“The next stage of the
assessment process will be video
conference interviews.”
想请教拿到过他家面试的各位大侠：这个video conference会些啥问题呢？ 上周的那
个电话面试很technical，问了我3道
brainteasers,然后又抓住简历上所有technical的东西问了一遍。不知道video
conference的侧重点是什么？竞争的激烈
程度有多少？

，现在JOURNAL过了第一轮REVIEW，CONFERENCE VERSION已经在会议上PRESENT了。但是
有一个JOURANL VERSION的REVIEWER向JOURNAL投诉说我们的文章已经会议上PRESENT了
，然后JOURNAL的人要我们解释。
我们这一行一向是JOURNAL和CONFERENCE不冲突的，没想到有人会这样投诉，请问大家

时候journal version会significantly加了结果。今天看到一篇paper，19xx年发到
conference上。11年后19xx年才发到journal上。有趣的是，前一篇3作者，后一篇2作
者。奇怪。
一种可能是conference的version是大概相同时间做出同样结果，然后pc建议合并？ |

就是公司里面开会的时候，可能有不同site的多个组之间开会， 大家拨打一个号码，
进入一个电话会议里面，然后开会。
如果是interview，未必是一对多，只是借用这个形式罢了。当然也不排除一对多。 只
是conference phone call 和一对多没有关系。
一般这种conference call都是免费电话，到时候打过去，拨完号码之后有语音提示输
入access code 输入就进入电话会议了。有的电话会议会在输入access code 时 提示
speak with your name， 然后电话会议里会有 "Your name" join in the conference
call的语音提示. |

带动股价上涨，不知道有没有人相同看法，可能是为了造势。有点类似earning
announcement,我觉得所不同是earning是必须的，schedule an investor conference
presentation是主动的？换句话说他们有好消息还没公诸于众准备在conference上或者
之前拿出来pop up 股价。也许是不错的短线机会，最近观察了几个例子.青蛙一点浅见
。探讨而已。 |

first author and presenter, 其余 5个只是挂名，别人是 presenter. 请问
Petition Letter里应该怎么写？
可以说 “Dr. XXX has presented in 10 times in XXX conferences"
还是 “Dr. XXX's work has been presented 10 times in XXX conferences" ?

paper，接受率30%-40%，full-paper在IEEE数据库，google scholar都能搜到，这种情
况对EB1B有用么？
我们领域貌似大家都重视conference...老板就是这样子，所以攒了9篇这样的，
journal不多，不知道这种conference paper算publication么？它的引用算数不？应该
怎么突出强调？

用了一个正式的journal的某一期。文章也像正式的journal文章一样，经过多轮review
，也有可能最后被拒。这样的文章到底是列在peer-reviewed journal paper里，还是

我在conference上做过一个presentation，这个conference请来做报告的一共是20个人
左右，一般都是领域内的大牛/小牛，但是也会找1-2个大牛实验室的postdoc来展示一
下新人的成果。我现在吹的时候，可以说在这个conference上做报告的绝大多数都是牛
人，我是唯一2个postdoc之一吗？这样说会不会突出我的title太低？

方。Northwest Forest conference center里面有几个不同的结婚场所和reception
venue,最喜欢的是在室外那个，这场婚礼是在town hall.
虽然3次都不是在conference center里面同一个婚礼地方，但是既然碰到合作过的神父
的，还是神父认出了我呵呵
还没有时间处理，就奔几张给新娘的小样吧.很奇特的婚礼，没有first dance,没有
cake cutting,婚礼一结束就拉大队到一个室外的棚直接喝酒和PARTY. 可惜时间太紧，
婚礼后只有20多分钟让我照婚纱照。可惜啊，新娘挺漂亮的，很多景色都不能去。。。

，所以赢了更兴奋。non-conference game水平参差，所以根据赛程需要可以排强队也
