最近看了不少评估，发现大家都是～paper,～conference paper,～conference
presentation.疑惑中。。。
具体情况是所发的conference paper做了presentaiton后都又发了journal paper.同样
的title,同样的内容。这样在列完了journal paper后，还要再列在conference paper
中嘛？presentation呢？ 如果列的话，presentation不是自己做的呢（co-author）?

Conference是可以Volunteer审稿的，比如自己在Conference Website上注册一下就可
以了，但有些Conference还是主要有Committee来审，我想问的是关于后者。
我的具体问题是，如果档次还不错的会议由Committee（非自己的advisor）发邮件邀请
帮忙审稿的话，这种算吗？如果需要保留一些审稿证据，需要注意些什么？

paper都做了Presentation。

发帖数: 61690 | 23 如果上conference成功率一般是很高的。因为如果不想达成妥协，他们就各过各的，然
后扯皮,不上conference。比如现在两院都通过了budget,结果共和党参议员们就
filibuster,不让指定conferee。
其实２００６年那届国会（共和党控制两院），两院也都通过了不同版本的移民改革.
参议院是６２：３６通过的。但是因为两院不愿意上conference.最后等新国会开始就
dead了。当然，０６年因为是选举年，情况特殊。
今年如果年内搞不定，希望也很渺茫。

学校具有非常优良的体育传统，学校的各球队都叫Cornhuskers (简称 "Huskers", 橄榄球是全美大学中著名的球队之一,是NCAA最高级别组Division I-A的球队之一, 也是Big 10 Conference(即10大联盟)的成员。Huskers曾在上个世纪九十年代三夺全美橄榄球冠军。 于2011年正式退出Big 12, 受邀加入Big 10。

conference之内，就像英超，意甲自己的比赛。conference之外，就像英超球队找个其
他欧洲球队打球，但是它可以找同一级别的球队，例如意甲的球队，但是也可以找其他
其他级别的（就像NCAA的跨division）球队，例如意大利乙级队来比赛，这样都算non-
conference，哈哈。不过NCAA的division还真和实力关系不大。具体怎么分D-I, D-II, D-III由bama92介绍一下吧。 |

联盟内部的大学校统一掌握会议话语权，所以有权捆绑管理小学校利益。
因为大学校在小合同方面做出牺牲才促成conference network，所以ESPN/FOX总是在大
篇幅宣传和维护这类大学校出镜率。而且conference network只有未来画面，没有现实
收益。假设脱离conference network，现在P5里大学校的自主电视版权每年可以拿到
12M-15M,加上大合同分红每年可以获得45M左右的收益，二线强校大概可以获得35M-38M
。目前，ESPN/FOX在捆绑取得sec/big10大小合同之后，每年sec/big10学校只能拿到
31M-34M。 |

conferences. the goal of conference is to exchange ideas and quick
publication. that's why many conferences have 4-page limit. in this sense, the
best way to measure these conferences is if the most important researchers
would attend. that's why I think ICASSP is the top one for
speech/acoustic/signal processing. |

最小的是workshop. 还可以有multi-conference, 就更大. 一般一个新的研究方向，
参与者不多，就可能采用workshop的方式。等研究方向确定了，参与的人多了，
就升级成symposium。如果发展壮大了，再升级成conference。一个例外是
multi-conference, 要是把几个不是很相关的研究领域凑在一起，那主办人有凑数
骗钱的嫌疑.
如果单从人数上讲，workshop的paper应该是最容易被接受的，因为竞争对手也不多。
但是会议的reputation并不是由参加人数决定的。所以主要还是看会议的级别. |

a conference and invite another 4 guys, but any of the 4 guys can invite
