THE PACIFIC JOURNAL OF ADAM EWING
Thursday, 7th November—
Beyond the Indian hamlet, upon a forlorn strand, I happened on a trail of

Through rotting kelp, sea cocoa-nuts & bamboo, the tracks led me to their

Beaver, shoveling

I believe mathmaticians got clearer idea about this.
I would rather believe that this logic is nothing but
a regulation of how we speak, or a definition in some sense.
the fundermental question is how to define definition.
for example,
1. every A is B
2. a is A, then a is B
this is sort of definition of the word 'every'; when u try
to explain the word to kid or alien, you'll tell them that
1 should be phrase as 2, 1 means 2, etc. (suppose they
understand 2 of course)
in set language

IS "I AM" GOD'S NAME?
Ivan Maddox
There is a scene in the movie "Popeye" where the lead character makes this
profound statement about himself: "I am what I am." In spite of this, there
was no outcry from the Christian community, no condemnation of the movie or

boycotts. In fact, no one seemed to notice the remark, least of all the

This will be an ongoing review as the book is read.
The author utterly destroys all hope Calvinist apologists may have nurtured

I do have a level in mind, as how evolved a soul can be, in the sense how
often the soul can maintain that awareness. Once a soul reaches some

Hi, Yisu, thanks a lot!
en, you meant this:
http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t/Wisdom/31575889.html
I read it briefly earlier, and I get more when I read it again.
This makes lots of sense.
en, I sometimes feel the urge to 眨眼睛, or my vision gets too fuzzy that I
habitually try to refocus my focal point a bit. Those eye movements do get
my attention, and I need to refocus on my breaths.

Perhaps a clearer question is whether it is okay to make some eye movements,
or how much movements are okay, when we slightly open our eyes during
meditation? With 觉察, would the eye movements disappear? Or is it okay to
have some amount of eye movements?

Chinese translation is too hard to understand. English translation is so
much clearer.
The four immaterial states are:
1. The Base of Boundless-Space,
2. The Base of Boundless-Consciousness,
3. The Base of Nothingness,
4. The Base of Neither-Perception-Nor-Non-Perception.
