The snow was drier than Saturday due to the lower snow level.
The best part was"the chutes" opened again after about a week of closure.
It is a 200 acres of terrian with 1500 feet of vertical and 40-55 degrees,
recognized as Tahoe's longest steep runs.

My turn happened like 10 feet below the edge and after couple turns I
realized that I am safe,haha.
I have to say he is the only 发科因 crazy, cool skier in our group!!

got lost right after rappelling down to Kautz chute in total darkness. Went
up and down the wrong chute and ended up staying at camp Hazard waiting for
the day light. At 5:45, finally could see what's around us, got to the base
of correct chute a bit over 6:00. Very crappy ice and had to swing tools
multiple times to get a reasonable plant. Cleared the technical section and

发帖数: 94654 | 21 玫瑰山，位于内华达州，塔猴湖东北侧，号称是塔猴地区base 最高的
ski resort。 当然，在旅馆看各个雪场的宣传材料，玫瑰山最引以自豪的
是他们自称他们有北美最陡的chutes，于是觉得值得一去。
开始在想，玫瑰山，貌似不那么有名，可能人会少。去了却发现，
人山人海，有些让人想起南加的雪场。
然后，第二个感觉，就是玫瑰山雪场很小。早上先滑了几个普通道，
一下子就滑完了，感觉有些无聊。
然后，就找到了著名的chutes。这里有大约十来条道，其实都差不多，
都是非常陡峭的路线，直直地降下去。玩到这里，才觉得不虚此行。
就冲着这些道，门票值了。
不过，这里有个巨大的设计缺陷，chutes下到最后，必须坐一个lift
翻过山头，然后换乘另一个lift，和众多南加山头一样多的人排队
才能到山顶重新下。好在lift是六人的，排队还不算久。
玫瑰山的风景，到也别致，雪山下边，就是沙漠，旁边还有一个小小的
湖。算不上动人心魄，也别有一番风味。
再说chutes，那些道的确是陡峭非凡。现在，所谓的hero snow退却了，
雪况没有之前那么一堆一堆的棉花一样谁都是英雄的感觉了，下起来

发帖数: 379 | 26 第一次跟meetup去winter scramble。之前听人介绍说ePeaks这个meetup还挺靠谱的，
也不知道他们一般三星trip不带新人的传统，就冒冒失失的sign up了周末的
Snoqualmie Mtn。刚好这个周末的活动有三个组织者，可以多带几个新人，Val就把我
捎上了。八点到Alpental的停车场，已经没什么空位了。Val带的group gear可真够全
的，两个bivy，3根30米twin的绳子，若干捆细细的cord不知道干嘛用的，还有几个装
满热巧克力的保温杯——总共11个人，摊下来倒是都没多少重量；另外每人还发了一个
biner和两根cord，说是做harness用的。所以这个活动，新人还是会觉得比较安全的，
因为只要不comfortable的地方都可以要求belay。在停车场的时候望了一眼Snoqualmie
的山顶，风刮起的雪粒如炊烟般连绵不绝，看的好冷啊~
八点多从trailhead出发的，路线描述起来就两字，straight up。GPS记录一共3350ft

出发点填许可证的小房间，也是久违了，里面是人头攒动好热闹，根据昨天下山的人说
，条件灰常好，所有的人都打扮光鲜，煞有介事，摩拳擦掌。有的人的装备还是崭新的

11点出发，这样算来，我们已经是一天没睡了，但是有肾上腺素撑着，怕啥？
上路了，队伍不少，我们夹在两只十来人的大队伍里，自己开路踩雪比较累人，就跟在

发帖数: 1432 | 38 周六在Mile Hi跳了AFF-I (Accelerated Free Fall, Level 1). 预报说天气不好,通知
把8：30am的课提前到7：15am. 早上起来一看,Boulder满天乌云;不过到了Longmont就
万里无云了. 早上到的时候, 看见机库里很多experience diver都睡在地板上,飞机下
,为了赶每天的第一趟飞机(load 1). 睡的地方也就是他们叠伞的地方. 高手的背后都
是艰辛的付出阿.
上午是Ground school, 有10个人参加,算比较大的班了,看来大家skydiving的热情还挺
高. 理论课主要包括四部分equipment, free fall, canopy flight和emergency. 一直
上到中午, 期间练习了Parachute landing fall (PLF)和pull sequency.
Equipment: 拉伞实际上是拉出一个小小的引伞 (pilot chute). Pilot chute把
deployment bag(D-bag)从container(伞包,其实就一个重重的大书包)里面拉出来. D |

发帖数: 5042 | 45 我是船钓，垂直钓，主线穿个小管铅，8字环接2、30厘米leader，普通8-10号钩子加
tube、假minnow等，沉到底向上摇2-3圈。说说我的窍门：
冬天的可爱皮有俩特点，一是深，最大水深15米以内的水域，它们基本上都呆在最深的
那个区域。所以方法对头的话，冬天比其它季节好钓多了，鱼扎堆啊！再深的湖我就不
清楚了；二是冬天的鱼追饵欲望极差，不夸张地说不送到嘴边根本不吊你。即使咬钩也
是极为缓慢的，难以察觉的那种。
针对这俩特点，我的诀窍是：
1：使用编织线。我没用刀神15磅那么壮，就是4磅的冰钓编织线。垂到10几米深的水底
，鱼咬钩很类似那种钓鲫鱼的一目、半目漂的拉伸，10几米长的mono线确实可以完全化
解掉，也就是一点也感觉不到！这个我对比过，在冬季，对咬钩的感知，4磅mono和4磅
编制线，差别非常大！
2：不同于刀神，我用软杆，飞钓杆子改装的那种软杆。我个人的理解是手持杆子，不
知道是什么频率传下去了还是别的原因，鱼可以感觉得到！这个说不出道理，但来自我
自己的经验，就是相信这个：手持vs不手持，咬钩率不一样！所以我全部是杆子横担在

发帖数: 184 | 46 爬完了， 用了19个小时，同行的伙伴帮着背Middle layer and crampon和水（一个人差不多被了2.X 个人的负重）， 而且让我把一个不专业的背包留在3 Mile 左右的路边。
菜鸟，拖累了别人的速度，开始的2.5Mile很累，很颓，2:00 开始走的，高海拔，自己考虑不周，有点冒险来爬这个山
雪没有化完，Switchbacks上有部分有雪，沿着Chute爬上的，下来走Switchbacks 也很危险，菜鸟无知无畏，好心探路，不过幸好没出事，否则会给别人带来更多麻烦。
菜鸟心得：
山挺陡，也挺秃，到Trail Camp 的路上，有一些盘根错节的黄松，很好看，树线以下蚊子挺多，凌晨时（4点左右的时候），没有很多，至少Lone Pine Lake附近没有很多，晚上回来很多。
有人说平均10-16个小时，找到你个人列的时间分布

现在，不可能用一个小时走完99个Switchbacks，更不用说爬Chute了，
总结：菜鸟如我，不该冒险，别人帮着爬上了，也不是很兴奋，更不会想爬更高的了， |

lost is an ice axe and a pair of sunglasses.
It was a Mountaineer's scramble trip. Our original destination was West
Granite, but changed to Pratt Mountain because of cornices. Pratt Mountain
is supposed to have a "safe" route to the summit following the ridge. It is
on the ridge that I slipped off for about 300 vertical feet.
