帖。到oil change工作3个多月，阅车无数，今天给大家汇报下，我们眼里车子的质量
，也算是回馈论坛。
我们全家是91技术移民，在国内大学里教书，到了这边才发现，给新移民的语言课，除
了领教世界各地版本的英语发音，几乎是浪费时间。听老移民的建议，直接找工作。上
网一搜，一没语言，二不能独立开车，三文凭工作经历不被承认，只有找labour。最后
看到这家Oil Change店在招人，大着胆子和老板吹牛，在国内上过一个星期汽修班，开
车30小时，汽车技术书读过几本。竟然被录用了。
开始培训。脏，累，危险，最低工资。头一个月，每天手上胳膊上带着伤，精疲力尽回
家，老板还是嫌你干得慢。资本家的钱不好挣啊，呵呵。
好了言归正传，说说我的工作内容，和对经手的车子的印象（待续）

2月份买的新车，开了5500mile开始出问题（我以为买新车省心，没想到更费心）
第一次出问题症状：
高速40迈速度行驶中，突然油门踩到底车子都没动力，方向盘锁住几乎打不动，车子惯
性前进，很用力打方向盘才迫使车子停在了紧急车道。然后直接拖到了dealer那。当时
吓了个半死，没想过试图重新启动车子。（后来dealer的报告上说车子拖到dealer后，
他们发现车子能正常点火和行驶，没法duplicate问题，但是看到气缸miss fire的
error code）
对应dealer诊断和修理：
发现4号气缸miss fire的error code，检修发现气缸header一器件非正常磨损，换了该
器件，告诉我修好了

world engine本来就在用，Chrysler现在主力的4缸机都是这个家族的
至于2.0T，因为三家各用各的缸盖，进、排气这些都是自己的
Chrysler并没有搞过2.0T的版本，倒是有2.4T
不过和FIAT联姻后Chrysler准备用FIAT的4缸机代替world engine了
FIAT在4缸机领域还是很牛的，直喷涡轮机是有的，另外MultiAir也是Chrysler垂涎的
技术
反过来，FIAT会用Chrysler的Pentastar V6
（它家的Alfa现在还在用GM的High Feature V6的缸体） |

提到油耗，无知且顽固的人非要和我说两田。但实际上是Chrysler/Dodge。它的４L发
动机，17/25。HONDA 3.5 L发动
机，16/23。
再说性能，Chrysler/Dodge的４L发动机比HONDA 3.5 L发动机０－６０mi整整快了１秒
。这是什么概念？快了11%。
提到功能，后两排座位放入车内下面，是Chrysler/Dodge的专利。谁都知道这个功能重
要。另一专利是，后两排座位可以
对着，中间有一小桌方便打扑克、吃饭。不喜欢吃饭、打牌的飘过，这功能对你不重要。
说到耐用性，这是个有争议的问题，谁也说不清。不想起争执。只想说，誉满天下必然
谤满天下。不
要说Chrysler/Dodge质量不好，路上几十年的老Caravan还跑的很欢；不少新Odyssey死
在路上，Transmission断气了,

发帖数: 502 | 40 Minivan的标杆是Chrysler的Town&Country。现在美国市场其他minivan都是follow的
Chrysler的尺寸。Chrysler+Dodge占有40% Minivan Market Share。
另外，VW的Routan就是Chrysler给造的。
Midsize还是日车略占上风的。
SUV当然是美车，Crossover没有明显王者

外乎就这么多。因为个人倾向性，锁定了2010的VW的Routan和Chrysler的Town and
Country。希望要4L 的engine，范围就更缩小到Routan得SEL，和TC的touring plus
with 28J package。
看了不多的一些用户review，也做了一些功课，知道Routan就是rebadge的TC，GC。试
驾之后，也觉得差不多吧。车子里面也非常相似。只是在价格上Routan可能还要更有优
势一些。最后买定Routan也是因为价格最合适。
在啰嗦之前，先说说最后的deal给大家一个参考吧：

车买来回来一个星期了，开了400－500mile了已经。全家都非常喜欢。就是有几个地方
感觉不是很理解：
1）对于一个比较高配置的车来说，前排副驾驶的座位不是power seat。居然是手动的。

发帖数: 866 | 43 想买辆二手的minivan,budget1万刀左右。有个dealer给了这么几个选择（都是dealer
给的价钱，还没讲。但是这个dealer非正规的dealer,而是自己弄了个仓库，不知哪来
的车源，就在那卖，2个合伙人自己在那卖，开价还比较实在，不怎么让讲价，车卖得
还算快，车源也还算多。）
第一个：大众的，2009年，5万多mile,$15000,自动的车门和后备箱门。我问这种德国
牌子的车会不会修车很贵，那dealer说跟chrysler用的零件是一样的。所以不存在这个
问题。不过远超budget
第二个：chrysler的town and country, tourning版，08年，7万五mile,配置同上面那
个大众的，要价$13000,据说跟上面那个大众的车，连用的engine都一样。
第三个，pontiac 的montana,06年，五万多mile,价格是$8000~$9000,是最基本的配置
，没有自动门什么的。有个朋友开这个车，觉得其缺点就是那个推拉门关门时需要力气
比较大，而优点是空间宽敞，反正比她家的另外一辆siena要宽敞得多。

今天订了一个二手车，试车的时候在一个2-lane的路上U-turn，结果直接叉到快上路牙
了。。
赶忙倒车，拐进靠路边的lane。
我感觉车速也不快，方向打到底了都。
回来一查，review里面一条写到：
-I used to drive a 24-foot Mack Truck that had a smaller turning
radius than this car. The turning radius is not very good at all. No
such thing as a 3-point turn in this thing. Try 4-6 points. I have
even had trouble pulling a U-turn on four-lane road.
这让我一个新司机如何是好？

daytime running lights，但实际上是有的，所以买车的时候，一定要让dealer给激活
了。如果以后再去其他dealer，就不是免费的了。。。
说说开了400 mile之后的感受吧。
因为俺以前开过Chrysler的pacifica，town and country等等，对于chrysler车子还是
有点儿了解的。
Chrysler车子给人的感觉就是：宽，稳，舒适。
驾驶起来很稳当，也很安静（隔音做得不错）。这款Dodge Journey，驾驶起来，稍微
有些sporty，能够让人“feel the road”。整体感觉不错。
油耗AWD标称local 16，highway 24，combined 19. 基本上还是挺准的。目前average
MPG没有低过15.9，对于新车来说，已经很不错了。
手机可以用bluetooth跟车子连上，打电话都用车子就行了，车子可以把你手机的通讯
录之类的都上传到车子里。不过俺的手机竟然不支持message上传。。。。估计必须得

发帖数: 1144 | 48 我现在正在考虑jgc，很喜欢这车。但是必须说，reliability确实是不太好的。整个
chrysler group（chrysler/jeep/doge）的车都不太reliable，而且dodge/jeep比
chrysler还差些。我觉得chrysler的生产线或者生产流程肯定有比toyota/ford差的地
方，否则不会全面地差。
至于网站上的review分高是因为
1）网站上一般是买了新车然后去review，所以不太反应reliability
2）在乎越野能力的人不太在乎闹点毛病，闹点小毛病估计也能接受
3）dodge charger/jeep gc这种个性车评分一向高，因为车主大都是爱车之人，不像
camry车主买车时就是找个买菜车而已
媒体杂志的推荐/评测也多是从功能/驾驶/内饰这种看得见的方面评的，不会太考虑
reliability
consumer report对新JGC的评测视频，看的时候吓了我一跳，40秒时面板要掉下来了...
