刚刚想加开个brokerage帐号，于是操作如下：
登录roth帐号后，选了add a new brokerage account using your existing Vanguard
information,一路注册下来，结果生成了roth ira brokerage。
现在登录近来之后看到的两个帐号是
XXX-roth ira
XXX-roth ira brokerage-12345678
这个roth ira brokerage和我想要的普通brokerage帐号应该不同吧。如何开普通的
brokerage。难道需要设置一个完全不同的帐号（和roth分开登录），
可以删掉这个roth ira brokerage吗？还是放任不管也没什么关系？

Fidelity的brokerage account的附连的core position “is where the money in

这个里面有个，比如Fidelity Government Money Market Fund (SPAXX)，手续费
annual 0.42%。效益非常低，比如2011年,return is 0.01%。
我有个问题是：
如果股市不好，想把brokerage account的投资挪到saving account，比如Ally （另外
一家银行），需要怎么操作？
Fidelity的brokerage account -> Fidelity core position -> Ally saving account
?
那么Fidelity为什么设计个core position呢？它家不是有Cash Management Account吗？

If you want to do day trade, it is better to transfer the Roth-IRA to a low
cost brokerage.
Whether it is a brokerage account does not affect Roth-IRA status. If you

去Charles Schwab咨询时，他们多次强调他们是non-commission-based，就是他们不
underwrite任何bond之类的投资、不通过帮客户买某种投资而拿到回扣。而我问他们是
不是fee-only，他们没有给直接的回答。
另外，我也询问Charles Schwab的人怎么比较他们和其他brokerage，他们说:
1 Merrill Lynch绝对是commission-based的，除了trade fee, annual management
fee之外，还有隐形的由于underwrite得到的commission；
2 多数银行提供的brokerage，也是commission-based，所以每个银行都有相对固定合
作的investment group；
3 Ameriprise之类的，有可能也是commission-based的，而且可能会在bond价格是做文

1、开户并入资，一次性奖励up to $600，资金需要保持3个月；
2、Asset在25K以上，每个月30次免费交易；
3、交易费Flat fee $6.95;
（另外，如果Brokerage里的asset和其他BOA账户的余额总和超过50K，那就是BOA的
Platinum VIP客户，基本上银行的服务都是免费了。）
这么看起来貌似挺好，但版上的同学们好像都没谁用这个、online brokerage review
里也没怎么提到，请问是有啥陷阱吗？和Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard比差在哪里？谢

saving, （自助的Merrill和/或Wealth Management）brokerage的账户的balance的总
和超过50K。我觉得目标就是搞搞ETFs，所以觉得貌似还行。至少比其他银行的
brokerage账户好多了，其他好多银行的账户要买卖任何东西都要打电话给经理、通过
经理操作。。。。。。。 |

低位买进。稍微研究了一下Money Market Fund，无论是taxable还是tax-free的，
return/interest rate都较低、而expense ratio都较高，到头来跟本没什么回报（可
能年回报率才0.01%），而且还可能产生commission、tax-filing burden，这折腾个啥
劲呢！
相比之下如果闲置的资金能拿到online saving提供的rate（年利率0.9%），那还值得
考虑。只是从online saving到brokerage转入转出有点麻烦、而且费时间。请大家给点
