文化辨析“韬光养晦”“错译”
1.引言
近两年来中国译界出现波动，诸多翻译工作者对于一翻译问题欲言又止、不知如何是好
。细究原因是小平同志制订的我国外交战略关键词“韬光养晦”被指出错译，已经在国
际上造成“中国威胁论”口实。
在日常译事过程中，出现错译、误译及不准确翻译本不足为奇，实乃司空见惯。但事关
我国外交战略方针这等重大译事，大家却谨慎有余，不敢出声。
1.1全国政协外事委员会主办的《公共外交季刊》2010年夏季号刊发了熊光楷先生题为
《中文词汇“韬光养晦”翻译的外交战略意义》一篇文章，文中指出：“韬光养晦”作
为中国外交政策的关键词之一被西方曲解和责难原因有二：“一方面深刻反映了西方国
家一些人士对华固有的政治战略偏见，以及少数反华势力顽固坚持的冷战思维；另一方
面也与我们国内对“韬光养晦”的翻译和解释存在疏漏与偏差有关。”
这是引起中国译界出现波动的初始，也是“韬光养晦被翻译错了”消息迅速在全国广泛
传播的起源。

北京人最容易犯的两个严重错误，一个是bide和bed分不清，call和cow分不清
另一个v和w混着念
另外北方人的共性是含有紧元音的音节念得不好

1.v，w有时候不分，但是注意就好。
2.bed，bad，bide，注意的话能分得很好。可是不注意的话，bed和bad不怎么分。
3.th在three会发成free，但一定不会发s。来美国后经过美国同学矫正有好转。
4.that会发成dat，至今不知如何改。
5.省略尾音，sweet会直发swee
别的现在也许我还有，只是不知道。个人觉得英语因素，单独发音基本我都能发对(r,l

liver可以，可是word和world我就不行了)，连起来发不好。这估计是小时候老师教不

早在1949年，中国人民解放军就在洛阳建立了外语学院，作为培养国防语言人才的摇篮

violent, even to the point of setting people on fire who disagree with them,
attacking elderly persons and shooting real arrows at police who are far

为什么美国是犹太人的天堂? 我看是两个原因
1. separate government and church。 犹太人在欧洲受到的压迫，绝大多数都是打着
宗教的旗号。这也是为什么犹太人支持Dem的原因。没那么religious。当然有兴趣的可
以去check一下60年代前的扎根南方的Dem有多少犹太人支持。我不知道。
2. 美国是money govern的国家。money buys everything。或者说市场化最彻底的国家
。这样犹太人才如鱼得水。
从犹太人对比华人，同样也是over achieved minority。一代洗盘子，二代
professional, 三代就医生律师了。
板上很多人似乎还怀有伟大的无产阶级情怀，致力于解救广大劳苦大众。不管你在国内
是什么样的阶级，现实就是华人的整体阶级定位是中产偏上。
如果美国是真正的民主，以数人头决定politics，那么30年后，就是下一个mexico，华
人和犹太人就是每次被screw的对象。你想住在这样的国家么？
