我有2个dataset（采集的机器不同），从每个里面得到的result不一样，
现在的问题是
理论上这2个dataset应该产生同一个结果，应该是dataset bias导致的这种差异性， 现
在是该怎么克服dataset的bias
我现在能想到的是把2个dataset合并，用generalized lienar regression
来消除dataset bias （比如说index=1 for dataset 1, =2 for dataset 2),
但是有个问题是dataset 1有200个samples，dataset 2有450个samples，
这样跑regression会不会因为dataset2的sample大而导致最终结果被dataset2的bias影
响？ 有什么办法能矫正一下吗？

找出所有含有at least one such transposon element的基因，然后把gene list直接
放到GO term里去（这里background gene set就是default的人类基因组的所有基因）
。目的是看这些基因是否专门富集到某种category
最后结果的top hit是channel gene；但是有一个问题，很多channel gene（或者广义
说brain gene）整个的gene size就比一般的基因大的多，有非常长的intron区域。
对于gene enrichment/ontology,这个基因长度是不是很大的bias？我搜索到一些paper
也有讨论这个问题的。我不知道gene ontology的网站或者什么DAVID在计算的时候是否
已经考虑了这个基因大小的bias？
我还有一个想法，就是那gene size作为分母，而一个基因里含有几个transposon
element作为分子；这样一除就是一个权重score，比如：

这个问题是，有一个针对罪犯的training program，只有那些表现良好的罪犯才会有机
会进入这个training program，而那些不好的罪犯是进不了的。selection bias已经出
现。要评估这个training program对找工作的用处有多大，所以dependent variable就
1个dichotomous variable: find a job /cannot find a job within six months. 当
然，independent variables有50多个。
哪个selection bias方法合适？
不想用heckman two step，assumption的弱点不能接受。 |

楼主是有一个panel的数据，数据里面有比如sales，site visit (0/1), 然后vistor的
demographics比如gender等等。目标是：用这个Panel的数据，来估计整个population
的visit和sales的数据。但是，因为panel里面的sample有bias, 我们要根据panel与
population在demographics上面的差异，来adjust estimates的bias，对不？
如果是上面这个问题，我觉得就是经典的sampling and survey的问题，不过很多学校
不专门开课教。其实就是根据demographics, 给panel里面不同的subgroup assign不同的
weight，最后aggregate起来estimates就是unbiased. Weight是调整bias的关键。
想不清楚为什么需要，或者具体怎么用复杂的model比如classification等来解决这个
