You see, US is in a vicious cycle: no american wants to work on blue-collar
labor because outsourcing depresses the labor cost. As they get unemployed
over time this problem become structural because they eventually loses the
skills.

以在多个地方出现，不知道这个说的是哪里，soil drain 原本就是把水要排走到，要
是水反倒从那里出来变成standing water,排不走，那说明drain 坏了，长此下去，对
地基不利。而且如果水多的话，会有可能渗过vapor barrier, 顺到墙上去，发霉就不
好了。。。。 |

费的，这些是做crawlspace drainage，Wu Construction, Perma-dry,Rite-way
waterproofing. 可是，他们也许会头痛医头，脚痛医脚，推荐crawlspace里面做
perimeter drain + sump pump.最重要的是你找出问题所在。如果是地势问题，也许房
子外面作french drain是最好的。当然，如果不介意cost,两个都做最safe.你也可以

大部分都是用plastic vapor barrier，但是如你所说，还真是有把crawl space地面浇
筑成厚厚的水泥的，我在Lakemont见过这样的crawl space，这个crawl space比一般的
稍微高一点，人可以弯腰走，and it's heated, heated这一点挺重要的，因为水泥也
保不齐水汽往上走啊，虽然concrete slab下面也应该有一层防水的memberane， 我个
人喜欢crawl space有vent通风，用plastic vapor barrier，如果不是heated crawl
space, concrete slab下面的防水层也会老化掉得吧~
说起concrete slab下面的防水层，Redmond有个小区，比较新的，有一面后面是斜坡往
下的房子全部是2-sotry with basement，结果，建房子的时候basement的地面

我当时跟Barrier砍价的时候提出MSRP 10% off之后作为整车的outdoor price，
Barrier和Eastgate Subaru也给我看了invoice，说是他们的进货价，不过我不相信那
个是真的。
假设KBB的数据可信的话，那末Audi给dealer的invoice价格应该是7%的折扣。 |

在我看来就是房顶里头贴了一层铝膜。
还可以考虑刷一层铝漆，效果差一点儿，但是自己就可以做。
我们的inspector说他家的房子这么刷了一遍铝漆之后夏天每个月可以省200刀的电费。
一般说来2006年以后的房子标准配置就会有这个radiant barrier，之前的房子要房主
额外花钱才给装。 |

我家3033尺，one story，有radiant barrier，窗户double paned，夏天空调设定78度
，电费八月份最高为150刀，现在的电费不到夏天的一半。gas 18刀/月，水费大致20刀
左右。今年夏天多雨，花园和草坪平均一周浇一次。
老美夏天通常把空调设得特别低，所以电费高很正常。
你自己装radiant barrier花不了几个钱，也很简单，再加厚隔热层，电费可以省50%。
窗户都换掉的话估计要6000刀，不知道还能不能赶上tax credit。 |

HD,costco之类的地方都有卖这些材料，可以买来自己加厚。
除了看这个保温层，还是要抬头往上看，看看屋顶下面有没有radient barrier，就是
一层镀铝的薄垫，这个东西夏天可以减少70%太阳辐射热，冬天有助于保温。
这个也可以买材料自己安。

之类的东西（就是一大块橡胶垫）埋进去，中间填上石子或沙子。这样形成一道屏障，
竹根就被限制在你圈住的范围里面了。
我现在后院有一丛佛肚竹，这种竹子不窜根，不用barrier。
不知道你的竹子是什么品种，要是好看，我倒是有心挖几杆来种种呢。

德州96年3000尺的房子，空调和窗户都15年了，房顶没有radiant barrier. 家里一个
月的电气费夏天要300多.
如果要做节能升级的话，究竟什么项目比较见效？
1. 升级空调，大概问了问价格，升级到16 SEER两个Units，大概要15K。
2. 换low E double pane windows and door, 大大小小的窗户一共有30多个，HD 报价
30-35K.
3. 装Radiant Barrier? 这个没有问过价格。
感觉换空调和窗户太贵了，特别是窗户，HD的报价大家觉得合理么？Sale说，光是安装
费用每个窗户就要将近600-1000. |

在mulch上面?
另外,我看weed barrier下面很潮湿,都长了好多蚂蚁和grub. 要是再把soaker hose埋
进去的话,会不会长白蚁阿? |

PI barrier jacket + long sleeve tee, down to 40F
