这位教育部科学技术委员会学部委员、哈尔滨工业大学教授是个牛皮大王。

笑话，如果不填补基因库空白，还是新基因吗？我查了一下，朱大海克隆的是玉
米线粒体含锰超氧化物歧化酶基因（PNAS, 90:9310-4），只不过这个酶有三型
（基因家族），他就给吹成是三个新基因，其实工作量也就和克隆一个基因一样。

了10次，看不出他有什么杰出贡献能获什么 |

simple dinner to exchange info can be reported as "Formal Meeting"
with so called "agreement".
Any real negotiation between AF and IF happened after August 2007
when Mr. Joe Liu demanded Zhang Shangyou to transfer "USTCIF subfund"
money (note: legal asset belong to USTCAF) but refuse to disclose
who should receive this money.

awardee 只有可怜的6个人, 不到以前的一半了, 看来日子越来越难过了. 如果说大部
分学校只考虑 recruit 有 K99 在手的, 那岂不是大部分人都没戏? |

It's simply not true that most schools only recruit those with K99. In fact,
most candidates in the job market I know in these two years are without K99
. They either had spent more than 5 years postdoc already (but do have
superstrong track records) or too exceptional to miss any job offers
anywhere without grants and thus don't even bother to apply for such grants.

本人国内一流本科的生物专业本科生毕业，刚毕业就直接去了香港读生化博士。 很大
程度是因为不自信吧，其实我成绩很好，当时本科排名在班第二。想出国觉得自己英语
不好，没有G/T，就打算去香港。香港的高校正好来内地招生， 香港是没有rotation的
，要去前定好老板，我怕牛老板不要，就拣了来面试学生的一般老板（当时还是副教授
），老师面试完当场就给了offer，我好像抓住了救命稻草一样，于是就屁颠颠的去了。
去了以后诸多不如意。 总之觉得博士生活和之前预想的天差地别。去之前挺理想主义
的，想好好锻炼英语，多上课，全面发展一下blablabla，去之后发现上述目标对于老
板都是p，最好就是天天在实验室里做实验。另一个不顺心的就是和老板性格不和，（
倒不是说老板人品差）主要就是性格不和，这东西有时候就跟两口子过日子，不和谁也
没办法。 老板是属于很强势的类型，什么都要管，不只是科研方面啦，选什么课做什
么课题就不说了，生活方面也管。 具体的说，老板喜欢性格内向，听话的人， 我性格

overrated. Even for publication record, consistent productivity is always
better received by the study section than one paper in the so called top
journal.
My last point: everyone should apply for K99 before it is gone. |
