when the market opened, how many people you think actually cut meat that day
after such a tremendous loss? most people who got trapped were just praying

我没有多么宏伟的学术梦想，从来没有想过要来美国读个博士，后来bf来了，两地分居
了2年半后，我也申请到了附近的学校，来了。半年后bf那边学校不顺，也转了过来。
我们结了婚。
我的导师兼老板是个美国人，clinical professor，不但脑子转的慢，在研究上更是象
是没受过训练的学生，经常是我反过来导她。她没有任何project, 我给她做RA就是给
秘书打下手。我想不能这样混毕业，一篇文章不发吧。就自己拼命看文献写proposal，
暑假回国收数据（我学教育的，设计到人的东西，如果没有钱的话，在美国很难做
empirical study）,自己出钱，没有assistanship.回来分析数据，把文章的血肉写搭
起来。老板的任务就是帮我smooth一下语言。后来她把这个文章投了一个会议，我到会
议program出来才知道她是第一作者。我没有怎么吭声，心想为了funding不能惹了她.
