不好意思,昨天淋了雨,状态不佳,坐在风里冷得直哆嗦,人多烤箱少,饿得等不及了,宝
宝也睡着了,只好先告辞.
汇报一下今天的BBQ概况.场面很壮观,dreamtoo和snowmoon两位美女组织者辛苦啦!
到达Alum Rock Park是11点25分,进去转悠了一圈,只看见一堆白人和老墨在BBQ, 只
好又退回到入口处,后悔没抄下dreamtoo的phone no.,下车询问门卫,答曰:"确实有不少
'Chinese guys'进去了, 大概开one mile and half能找到他们."于是驱车重新回到白
人老墨那个地方,再往里走了一段终于看到5,6个中国同胞(这人也太少了吧), 上前问一
个穿红色皮衣的PPMM(后来得知是microbe带来的朋友,至于哪个是microbe...不清楚),
"这里是不是dreamtoo组织的BBQ", 回答说:"大概是吧."FT~~~~不管了,肚子已经开始咕
咕叫了,先坐下再说.
后来就见到了热情美丽的snowmoon还有她帅帅的LG和儿子(那个自动吹泡泡的真好玩^

我翻开书，恰恰看到这句话。
刚从ALUM ROCK 公园回来，撒了辣椒孜然的羊肉串余香还在口中，Heineken啤酒混着
Merlot下肚后酒精漫漫涌上脑际，刚才大家从一个烧烤炉游荡到另一个找肉吃的欢声笑
语还在耳边回响，小仙，我们可以很骄傲滴说：你临走前的谆谆叮咛，我们听到了，也
做到了！你的那一份羊肉串，我们吃干净了！
昨天阴霾密布风雨交加也没有能留下小仙，今天湾区阳光灿烂，蔚蓝的天上飘着几朵白
云；天公也知道它欠我们，于是加倍补偿送给我们新鲜空气。
今天一大早，小微就和EVDO两位筒子就一路奔驰赶到公园，顶着刺骨寒风占领烧烤基地
，你们辛苦了！
早上的公园很安静，只有蓝琼跳来跳去找虫子吃，小鸟儿小鸟，你知道等一下有更多的
剩食可吃么？为什么起的这么早？
眼看到了11点半，大部分人仍然没有出现，饮水泉孤零零的立在那里，仿佛在沉思：报
名烧烤的筒子们，难道你们集体迷路了？
我在林间转来转去，侧耳倾听远方的动静，没有，没有脚步声，没有汽车声，也没有马
蹄声，小薇奔出去，开始用手机呼叫。
不知不觉间到了午时，先到的筒子们腹鸣如鼓，大家互相凝视着， |

7/30/08灌的，当时偶主要从事海外（中国、中东、欧洲）的超高层设计，与鬼谷的同
学接触不多。有几个同学住在近10/30/07的Magnitude 5.4 epicenter Alum Rock的west
San Jose，他们的single family houses均是2000年后建造的。因此偶当时以为大部分鬼谷
的single family houses也是1995年后建造的。
最近两年偶主要从事弯曲本地的多层及single family houses设计，与鬼谷的同学接触
很多。这才惊觉原来鬼谷的single family houses几乎90%以上是1995年前建造的。So

no doubt the team deserves a ton of credit.
after discussing with alumni from various classes, we recognize the
diversity of alumni needs from social to professional.
as we go forward, the alum network needs a collective effort. nobody can do
it single-handedly. that's why the key point of our message is to bring in
more people to help out. |

discussion board).
similar lunches and dinners will be announced through the subgroup.
alumni are strongly encouraged to participate in organizing future
activities.
each alumnus is the owner of the network rather than passive attendant.
for example, if you want to organize an alum picnic for those with kids,
just do it. :o) |

Agenda
As part of the effort to revitalize the NUAABA, a casual alum lunch chat was
scheduled to discuss both the progress to date and action items.
Progress
• A LinkedIn subgroup was created for the NUAABA.
• As of 2/22, 113 alumni already signed up. Multiple feedbacks and
suggestions were received.
• A joint message to the NJU alumni in the SF Bay Area was drafted
by CC, HS, KY and SY, and was posted on both the LinkedIn subgroup page and |

再揭示一个简单事实：弯曲最危险的是三藩及Oakland的Downtown的high-rise office
buildings。 因为这些high-rise office buildings几乎100%是在1995年前建造，均不
符合1994年Northridge地震后老美紧急于1995年发布的新抗震规范的要求。在最危险的
是三藩及Oakland的Downtown的high-rise office buildings上班的各位，首要事情就
是要搞消防楼梯的位置，一发生地震，尽快到消防楼梯往下走，因为消防楼梯均位于核
心筒，是全楼最为坚固之处也。
最后，预测一下the Big One的epicenter, 想必是去年（10/30/07）的Magnitude 5.4

morning. We got the parking lot around 3. We took the trail to the south rim
, on the top of which one gets very broad view of San Jose and the bay etc.
We then headed to Chili Palace(Qi Feng Ge) for a nice dinner. It is a pity
that we did not have your cell. Wish you all had a good time as we do, and
hopefully we could meet on another mountain soon. |
