不好意思，包子不多，就不发了。写心得吧，希望比包子对大家更有用。
从对如何申请绿卡一无所知，到昨天得到I-140批准的通知。历经近一年时间。而真正开始着手是从今年五月。其中在本版学了很多知识，没有用律师，（但学校的负责人给我们提供了修改REFERENCE LETTERS的意见，一共十信，每封都得到学校负责人认真的审核），我们再修改，再发给推荐人。我们准备材料，学校负
责人最后写的PL，我们按她的模式给了所有的亮点和总结。（材料我们自己整理好，学校FILE）。
个人感觉一些有用的经验，分享大家，回报本版。
准备中的一个原则：有理有据。
1：PL：（言简意赅，突出亮点，适合自己）
我参考了网上许多网友的PL例子，很有帮助，但是每个人情况不一样，所以一定要写一封最适合自己的PL。不一定要放许多图表在PL里，我一个朋友的PL才四页。大家可以把PL里的详细内容放到材料整理中的COVER LETTER（彩纸打印部分）中，以便IO看起来方便。

在网上查到证明，但是poster presentation如何证明么？必须要有email证明么？以前
都是老板的email收到通知，现在我没有办法得到email通知，是不是就不要提poster
presentation了？
还有一个问题就是有一个第一作者的abstract被选为oral presentation (老板forward
email通知给我了），但是最好是老板做的oral presentation。我能在推荐信中提到
这个abstract被选为oral presentation么（不提及我自己做oral presentation）？

acceptance notification就算是，email里肯定有oral presentations等等字样
再扫瞄一下你的presentation的schedule，如果会议目录／摘要书里面有的话
请问abstract是paper的abstract么？
invite email好想没有专门的，只有一个acceptance notification

google scholar有个链接可以发过去，这个要每篇打印出其所有的引用吗?
我发现选择了所有引用我此文的reference以后，可以点击右上角一个print和export，
save或export
为pdf（在offline review下面）就行吗？我有11篇文章，是不是需要11个pdf文件发过
去？
以下可以选择format默认是Summary with full abstracts，改选哪个？

有几个实验室用了我的成果，把一些初步结果发表在了Conference abstract上。
1. 承认authorship, 承认审稿，质疑Contribution. RFE期间，审稿有增加，会议
abstract有增加，还需要再Claim审稿和authorship吗？
2. RFE信中专门质疑了专利申请，说又没有批，又没有应用，算什么？ 在回RFE时，需
要再说这个事情吗，还是就此不提了。其实有两个大学实验室应用了专利申请的成果，
并取得一些好的结果，还发表在了conference abstract和dissertation中。
3. 另外，还有好几个实验室写信给我以前的老板要我做的东西，都给了，可是信都是
写给我前老板的，我发信问他们要推荐信，没一个理我的，现在我只能请前老板帮我写
一封证明信还是怎么办？

我最近因为开会，总要去等bus，就去了两天，居然撞见了两起把车停在bus stop
第一起是一个国女坐suv里玩手机，结果bus只好试图绕过suv，正好suv前面顶住bus的
后门，下面走下两个白人，两个都怒了，一下bus，上半身跟suv碰着，下半身腿神不出
来，第二个是白男，当时用胳膊使劲拍打suv前面，怒吼了！！！

some calls to abstract methods of the class. These methods then define the
different behavior of the concrete classes. This can be easily done with
inheriting the abstract class and implementing those abstract method. How

requires students to write two abstracts that are not relevant to the field
of study of the lab they joined. This is actually the most important
criterion in writing the proposal. After successfully present the abstracts,
the committee will pick one abstract, and the student should expand the
abstract into a full proposal. Then there's the oral defense. All this has
to be done in the second year.

每看一片paper就自己写abstract，不要用paper自己的abstract，顺便存到 bibtex 里。
至于pdf，我就用 year_title 为名存好。
你自己写过abstract，不管啥paper，总是会有印象的，再看看年份标题，挺好找的，
不用直接链接到文件。
我的文件也不分类分目录，都在一个目录下，按标题排就是按年份排好了。 |
