一、论坛简介
南开大学物理学科创建于1919年，是中国建立最早的物理学科之一。通过多年建设
，物理科学学院已成为物理学人才培养基地，也是光学、理论物理、凝聚态物理、光子
学、粒子与核物理等物理学分支的重要研究基地，拥有教育部、天津市重点实验室等研
究基地。为进一步提高南开大学物理学科发展和人才队伍建设水平，特举办2017年度南
开大学“国际人才论坛”——美国加州物理分论坛，邀请海外同仁与会，探讨学术前沿
，追踪学术与人才热点问题。
二、时间及地点
2017年10月20日-23日。会期四天，20日报到，21日-22日开会，23日离会。
会议将于美国加州地区举办（具体地点第二轮通知会详细列出）。

2017 International Symposium on Advances in Physical Science(NKIS 2017)
School of Physics, Nankai University
Overview
School of Physics, Nankai University in Tianjin, China has a history of
nearly 100 years. It now consists of 132 faculties, around 600 undergraduate
students and 300 graduate students. The school is supported by the Ministry
of Education under “211” and “985” programs. Our research fields
include optics, theoretical physics, condensed matter physics, chemical
physics and material physics. We sincerely invite the elites in physics,
chemistry, and material science to join us at NKIS 2017 to promote
international joint programs and deep collaborations. We would also like to
invite the world-renowned faculties as well as young talents to join Nankai
University located in a vibrant economic zone in China.

Abstract Submission
All researchers and schoolmates interested in participating in NKIS 2017 are
encouraged to submit an abstract for an oral presentation using the
template attached with this E-mail. The abstract should be sent to [email protected]
nankai.edu.cn before September 25 2017.
Financing Plan:
Nankai university will pay the accommodation and catering fee during the
forum. To apply for support, please include a copy of C.V. together with the
abstract and send [email protected] before September 25 2017.
