professional (IT/Finance), right? Don't even to mention coops. A huge 1-bed
1000 sqft coop in Midtown east could be around $500K.

加州有prop 13,你40岁的时候10万买的房子,67岁退休的时候涨到100万,也只交10万*1.
2%=1200/年的税.
一般地区房子便宜,中等的房子一年也就2-3000块的税,也只是SS收入的零头.
而且很多地方有tax abatement,老人可以申请减免地产税.
不过维修房子可能是个大问题.人老了很多DIY做不了,花钱比年轻人还要多很多. |

A petition has been started to lobby Turkey’s president to address the ‘
honour killings’ of gay and transgender people in his country.
President Abdullah Gul is being petitioned to act against the “systematic
violence and discrimination faced by Turkey’s LGBT community”, the
petition organiser said.
The Care2 petition’s sponsor, Omar Kuddus, told PinkNews.co.uk he was

your tax liability to the future years. What I do not understand is the tax
loop hole for the mega big business. Google is using double-Irish trick to
reduce their tax rate to 2%. Money is laundering to Irish then to UK then
back to US and the tax rate is magically reduced to 2%. |

NEW YORK (AP) — Oil prices plunged on Wednesday, ending a four-day rally,
after the U.S. government reported that crude inventories surged last week.
The 6.3 million barrel increase was far more than analysts had expected and
renewed worries in the market that supplies of oil are still outstripping
demand.

has a security camera to help abate crime on the rails, Mayor Rahm Emanuel
and CTA President Forrest Claypool announced Wednesday.
The pair credited the cameras to a drop in crime across CTA platforms,
including a 38.5 percent drop in robberies, 44.4 percent in aggravated
battery and 23.3 percent in theft.
Crime dropped by about 22 percent on buses, 22 percent on trains and 31
