发帖数: 143 | 17 首先，大概介绍一下地理位置，中部大农村，方圆100miles只有四五个dealer，local
一家，25mile一家，50mile一家，100mile一家。然后网上搜索了一下库存，整个
100mile里面只有50mile开外的那家dealer有现货，其他都没有sport with nav的型号
。所以可以想像中部农村是有多么的荒凉了。
价格，MSRP: 47250, before TTL:39500(7750 off) , TTL:2450左右吧（5％ tax）。
然后最后被忽悠了两个东西，一个是gap的insurance，还有一个300的什么，忘记了，
反正最后弄下来大概是42800左右，最终还有1.9% apr 60 month. 有什么trailer
hitch, first aid, mat还有一个小东西。
这里要重点解释一下为何要gap的insurance，因为我是phd大叔，所以信用记录也比较
短，当地的银行给的最低的apr是2.8，然后dealer给到了2.49，但是dealer说如果买

10 yr ARM 是个不错的选择，原因如下:
1. 长期看利率上涨. 5yr ARM 以后能不能找到低利率 re-finance 都不好说。当然如
果5yr 后refinance 成 15yr frm 是可以。不过5年后弄不好15 yr frm 的都要 5.*%了。
2. 对于7yr 10yr ARM, 如果猥琐男女省吃俭用。10yr 到期，如果rates 很高的话，一
下子还上全部或者大部分的pricipal就可以了。
但貌似要10yr ARM的不是很多呵。难道我想的不对么。 |

其实楼主是把perm中最低要求advance degree和最低要求bachelor定义为两个完全不相
干，独立的概念。
举个很简单的例子就可以推翻这个观点。这种例子网上比比皆是。
Perm 工作描述 bachelor + 3yrs为 eb3
Perm 工作描述 bachelor + 5yrs 为eb2,因为bachelor + 5yrs equivalent to
advance degree
这也是大部分人eb3升eb2的基础，任何律师都不会否认这个问题。
那么这么来看eb2和eb3是不是包含关系呢？bachelor +5yrs包含bachelor +3yrs么？ |

工作要求Bachelor +5yrs申请EB2比比皆是，Bachelor + 0，1，2，3，4就只能申请EB3
，这个从没被人怀疑过。
因为bachelor +5yrs可以等同advance degree,但联邦法没有规定bachelor +5yrs就不
属于本科一列。
同理，每个advance degree perm也可以理解成bachelor + 5 yrs,那么这个最低学历联
邦法就不太可以说的通了。。。 |

UMich： CSE/MS/AD，40k/yr，1.5-2yr，综排29/专排13，工程牛校CS略弱，地方差了
点，找工作不利，不知MS转PhD有没机会；
NEU： CS/MS/AD，35k/yr，1.5yr，综排69/专排61，新兴学校，Boston的IT业还算发达
，据说学校的co-op项目也很不错，继续申PhD没什么优势；

Right now, the currency appreciation is about 5% per year. 3 year interest
rate is 5.25%?, if he can let the parents buy the 5yr bonds, it will be even
higher (6.15%). no tax on interest. (Note, One differenct is the interest
calculation: here we say APR, but in china, 5yr 6.15% means, you get 6.15%*5
interest after 5 years.so china's 6.15% equal to 5.4% here.). So it is over
10% every year.

Pros:
* not subject to state income tax on interest (CD does)
* no federal tax ONLY if used for education purpose (CD does)
* instable rate (good or bad). Base rate(never change)+varible rate
depending on inflation (change semi-annually). (CD never changes)
Cons:
* you can't easily cash it. must hold for 1 yr before redemption. Plus, any
redemption between 1yr-5yr=3month interest penelty. Not good for short-time

It is very convenient, and both of my daughters really love it.
For the first 1.5yrs, my older daughter (5yrs old) will sleep on the lower
