电影制作权在电影公司手里，尽管导演才是真正的艺术创作者。
在电影制作过程中，导演经常会迫于压力改动作品。当电影获得
成功后，导演有时会想法把电影改回去，通常是把那些忍痛割掉
的片段加回去。是所谓Director's Cut.
电影史上比较著名的cut有：
Touch of Evil
Blade Runner
Lord of Rings据说会出四个小时的Director Cut版DVD。

Amadeus新版比当年剧院版多了20分钟，部份图像和音响经过了
数码处理。

Amadeus在湾区也上映。
