里程一个在80多k一个是100k+
还没去看过车,有点心动想换车.但是只是听说老的BMW修起来很头疼很贵而且坏的东西
多.
但毕竟很多人只是听这个说法多了传来传去而已吧.想听听大家的经验之谈
比如大概有哪些地方这种年头了会需要换/容易坏的.
或者直接建议这么久的车不要碰了. |

换车也确实折腾,旧车入手总有一堆要整的地方...

发帖数: 3688 | 9 my 97 e36 m3, bought in 2009. after I bought it, I drove about 10k miles. I
fixed the flex disk, rear suspension mount, and replaced belts. These total
about $800-1000.
Other maintenance: oil change 3 times, get new tires. I may need to get new
brakes this year.
It's a great car to drive!

snow). If your rear suspension mount tears, you will hear rattling from the
trunk when you hit a bump. Fix is about $3-400. Not sure about cooling
system because none of my mechanic tell me anything about it. I assume it is
fine. It is important to find a good mechanic that knows BMW. Mine are all
racing BMW cars or in racing crew, so they know a lot about BMW cars.
Generally I don't fix things on used cars until totally necessary because I
drive so little. I don't baby a sub-$10k car either. They are just toys to
have fun with.

好处是折腾的差不多了,知根知底,应该不会出啥新毛病/大毛病了.

老车不紧主要就是各个橡胶的bushing/mount老化,断裂,松动 吧

of them. E36 M3 at this age has rattlings everywhere. Some may be important
such as the rear shock mount, some may be not. Still it is millions time
more fun than driving, say a new ford focus or civic.

quoted $6000 by a dealer for his E46, and Owen's dad did necessary works for
only $400 plus...

I got what you mean.
the boss of the shop I normally go to is a HongKong guy races with a M3, so
he should be familiar with BMWs...
and he's been pretty honest, sometimes diagonise for free and suggests me to
DIY instead of spending more money to let him do it.
so that would be OK.
the problem is, even the price is fair, if the car needs to be repaired too
often, it's still a lot of money.

replaced the cooling system lately, u don't have to worry about it there.
same thing for rear trailing arm bushing. mine didn't give me too much
trouble so far.
