Just when I almost gave up all of my hopes, he promised me that he'd recited
the Great Compassion Mantra (Da Bei Zhou) 10,000 times for me if I could
let him stay with me. Will a person change his personality for the good
after reciting it for 10,000 times? | j****i

others, esp. those who deliberately turn themselves away from Buddhism and
only promised to do that for some personal purposes (e.g. getting his lover
back). |
