Supreme Court Blocks House Democrats from Mueller Grand Jury Material
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Wednesday temporarily prevented the
House of Representatives from obtaining secret grand jury testimony from
special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
The court’s unsigned order granted the Trump administration’s request to
keep previously undisclosed details from the investigation of Russian
interference in the 2016 election out of the hands of Democratic lawmakers,
at least until early summer.
The court will decide then whether to extend its hold and schedule the case
for arguments in the fall. If it does, it’s likely the administration will
be able to put off the release of any materials until after Election Day.
Arguments themselves might not even take place before Americans decide
whether to give President Donald Trump a second term. |

到時候接近大選，最高法院要不要把它拖到選舉之後，這是需要慎重考慮的。
理論上，民主國家在接近選舉時，都應避免可能影響選舉結果的動作。雖說司法獨立，
但實務上會考慮審判的時機，沒有急迫性的案子就拖到選舉後。只是川普這個案子比較
特別，說不定民主黨要求公開的材料裡，的確有值得選民參考的資訊，選民有權在選舉
前知道這些，以便選擇。
所以我說，到了夏天，會需要慎重考慮的。
On another thought，如果現在就審結，可能還更好，畢竟還有半年，對選情的影響還
