So, I'm a barber. They shut us down even if we try to open up. If I don't
work, my family doesn't eat. Luckily my wife can work from home with her job
, but funds are getting so tight that I can't breathe. I swallowed my pride
and I asked the state for assistance. DENIED.
I was told yesterday about a gov't policy that is paying self-employed
people, like BARBERS, for aid. I'm very conservative and not once in my 35
years of life have I ever asked for aid or anything from our "benevolent"
government. Not once. I have never committed a crime, I've never done
anything wrong. Hell, when I was 19 I was a jailer/"detention officer" for
Christ's sake. I'm as clean as a ghost! I'm also proud conservative, and
never ask for anything, and it took my entire pride yesterday as I filled
out that fucking page for a measly 100 bucks a week assistance. That's food,
that's groceries, that's weight off my wife's back! My kid's private school
is OUT, but they are still charging that 350 a month wage.
I'm at my wit's end, so I asked for help. This morning, without any
indication why, they just flat emailed me and said "NO." I'm so destroyed.
Stupid ass website doesn't even have any feasible means of contacting a
person with a voice to argue my claim, and I can't "reapply" now until July
4th! JULY 4TH!! It's like they know I'm conservative... it's such a nose rub
in shit on the floor.
I'm left with nothing to nowhere to go, so I'm here just venting. You guys,
and gals, I love you all. I just needed a shoulder to cry on. I will NOT
show weakness to my wife or 9 year old boy. But right now I'm sobbing like a
blubbering babbeh boy. Laugh with me, laugh at this stupid system. I bet
you all the bucks in the world that had my SSN# had criminal charges
attached, or had I been on welfare before, my claim would have been granted
immediately.
Guess I shoulda been arrested for snorting coke off a hooker's belly button
or something while peddling drugs. -_-
