A majority of Americans favor tax cuts for all, including the wealthy,
according to a new poll.
The McClatchy-Marist poll found that 52 percent of registered voters want
all of the Bush tax cuts extended, including those for incomes above $250,
000; 43 percent just want cuts extended for incomes below $250,000.
One surprise in the poll was that young voters ages 18-29 favored tax cuts
for everyone by a margin of 69-29, the largest margin of any age group.
Young people have been President Barack Obama’s biggest supporters,
according to McClatchy News.
Obama wants the cuts for those making below $250,000 but opposes extending
the tax cuts to those making more than that. The tax cuts were first enacted
under President George W. Bush and are scheduled to expire on Dec. 31.
“For all three groups, there’s a fairly large gap in their support for
Obama and how they’re reacting to the tax proposal,” Lee Miringoff,
director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion at Marist College, told
McClatchy News. “It may call attention to how connected they are to the
proposal itself.” | P*********0 发帖数: 4321 | 2 True. The same idiots also want to cut deficit.
