However, I have to say 年糕粽子月餅 and even Christmas tree are really not
one of the main points Bible involves. Conversly, to focus on these kinds of
topic will distract you from the more worthful treasure in the Word, if you
are sincerely seek God.
I believe most Chinese Christians (including me) eat 年糕粽子月餅. This is
not the mark to distinguish Christian or non-Christina or even apostasy. We
believe we have the mark of Jesus on us through the Spirit and Jesus is the
mark and the only mark.
Therefore, no matter what we are going to eat, the food itself will never
bleach the mark. It is the same for the Christmas tree.
Nevertheless, according to Bible teachings, nothing should overpass our Lord
-- No food, no image, and so on.
Beyond this topic, I would say it is not the food or Christmas trees that
draw the so-called Christian away; instead, it is the no fear toward God and
insensitivity of our own sin. But thank you for remind us of our potential
sinful behavours of focusing more on trees other than Christ Himself and His
Word. I appreciate it and Happy Christmas.
