waste their time writing book-length critiques when they could just show the
evidence of answered prayers making Christian's lives demonstrably better
than the lives of non-Christians, especially us blatantly god-denying
atheists?
Chrisitanity is true, right? Every day Christians make millions of answered
prayer claims, so why not just produce this huge volume of evidence which,
if Christian stuff is true, must clearly delineate the god-have's from the
god-have-not's. Surely, you must be able to show that god likes Christians
better than atheists.
Christians must have greater life expectancy - that you could show
empirically - than, say, those almost entirely Christian-less Japanese? You
could show the "truth" of Christianity just by presenting that evidence.
Christians must have lower infant mortality than say those horrible
Scandinavians who have kicked poor Yahweh to the curb? You could highlight
those infant mortality stats to show Bible-god really takes care of those
who believe, have faith, go to church, tithe, pray in Jesus' name, take
communion, and genuflect.
Why do Christian scholars keep beating around the bush with debates and
critiques and subtle philosophy when the idea that "Christianity is true"
carries with it the inherent "Bible-God loves and takes care of his
followers" and "You will know they are Christians by what their god does for
them"? The truth of Christianity is an almost trivially-demonstrable
empirical claim, if Christianity is really true.
My guess is that almost all Christian scholars know full well that the Bible
is bullshit and that the overhead of being Christian confers no benefit at
all on the faithful. They also know that if they allow the conversation to
die out they lose a comfy living where the spookiness, the mystery and the
slippery nature of all Christian semantics relieves them of any real
accountability for what they say or write. It's not true, making it
impossible for them to show it to be true, so they just keep the paychecks
coming by talking about it as if they thought it was true. Christian
scholars are paid to keep producing large volumes of words, spoken and
written, while their employers, their publishers,and their target audiences
never expect any demonstration of "truth."
If you are a Christian, why do you settle for less than the proof positive
which must exist if Christianity is, in fact, true? Why embrace the smoke-
and-mirrors Christians scholars keep producing, when they owe you the truth,
the whole truth, and, nothing but the empirically demonstrable truth. |

South Korea, HK, Taiwan, Japan, and even China's economies improve so fast
are partly due to commerce with the Christian countries.
Without Christian countries, China still in Qing dynasty and will remain in

们不信神的话，他们的国家会如何。但是我感觉神不见的在乎这些，只要我们基本的衣
食得到满足，神就会更关心我们的精神生活。

再不同大学读书，long distance 5年多。一直很多争吵吧，而且有时候会很暴力，我
和她都是脾气刚烈的人, 结婚并没有改变任何东西。后来我先信主了，一直祷告希望她
能找到工作和我结束long distance，和我一起信主。后来她就找到了，而且是生物方
面转行到统计方面，挺大的跳跃。经过一大半年，在一起生活也是很多争吵，比long
distance 更多了。最后她也信主了，我们一起去教堂，去上婚姻的培训，现在真的很
好。感谢主answer my prayer。在祷告实现的时候，不是立刻，不是明天，而是一段比
较长的时间，磨练了我和她的性格.我们也很愿意和自己的好友分享这些感受，传播主
的福音，希望神的话语能够在恋爱婚姻上帮助到他们，不要被这个社会那么多金钱的物
质欲望，还有“爱情高于一切”的浪漫主义冲昏了脑袋。
