Alright. Let me get this straight.
You ask possibly the most famous and difficult question to answer.
A question that thousands of philosophers and scientists died trying to
answer.
A question that has puzzled the greatest of intellects since the beginning
of time.
A question that is arguably more deeply personal to people than any other
question.
A question whose answer, if found, would pretty much change the way we think
about everything.
…and you expect someone to answer it for you on quora?
Look, I want to emphasize that I do not mean to come off as disrespectful,
but people need to understand that a question of this magnitude cannot be
answered by someone. You have to go on a deep and honest journey to find the
truth. Be skeptical and question everything. Learn all you can about the
world, and make your own decision.
If God does exist, that’s probably how he wants you to get to him, not by
asking a question on quora in an effort to reaffirm what you want to believe.
And if you come to the conclusion that He does not exist, you will only
fully appreciate the beauty of a random universe if you understand the
mechanisms by which chance can bring about something so magnificent.
So study physics, chemistry, biology, religion, theology, and everything you
think may give you some insight into the answer.
Bottom line is, you have to find the answer yourself. If you try to get
people to answer it for you, you won’t make any progress in your
understanding of the world.
There are no shortcuts to finding the answer to a question of this much
importance.
