f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 1 new table, but somehow got very looose already after 3 rounds.
a black reg and a young gun get high on 68Q rainbow flop (preflop, limped
pot).
reg checks, young gun over bets $20 (pot is only $10), reg raises to $75,
young gun immediately announces all-in for $500, he got reg ($350) covered.
reg tanks for a sec and says "#$@*$&*@$)@...".
dealer says, "call", then deals blank turn and river.
young gun quickly turns over Q6s for flopped two pairs. reg suddenly argues,
"hey, WTF is this? i didn't say to call... i asked how much more..."
sh*t, imagine the mess right away, lol.
floor is called and listens to both sides, at least 2 players confirm that
that they heard "call" from reg same as the dealer did.
reg gets very mad, "how could i call such a big all-in with this??!!!", he
turns over QJo.
lol, only god knows...
the heated argument goes on for another 10 minutes...
finally the floor makes the ruling, since multiple players are all on the
young gun's side, reg has 2 options:
1) pay that $350 and keep playing;
2) rack up and go home. AND, until he pays back, he's banned from MDL
forever.
well, although they take reg's name/info. from bravo, i seriously doubt how
they are gonna enforce this in the future...
of course reg stands up and goes away, in a cheap way.
as a gesture, MDL:
1) takes young gun's info too just in case they catch reg again;
2) gives him a few free buffet coupons.
well, dealer makes a mistake too, by not grabbing at least 1 chip from reg
after he says "call". that way, no doubt all chips are gone.
also, never show your cards until all the money is clearly in the pot. | h**n 发帖数: 981 | 2 it actually happened to me once as well. I asked "Can I get a count?" and
the dealer said "call". Of course I lost. I didn't argue because I probably
was going to call anyway but every since they I just say "How much?" so the
dealer has a less chance mess up Can with call. | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 3 this one is ugly because:
1) even i heard he said "call", let alone the other 2 players and dealer;
2) one player argued that "how much more?" was hard to confuse with "call";
3) after young guy announced all-in and whose stack apparently covered his (
$500 vs. $350), it didn't quite make sense for him to ask "how much more
?", they sit right next to each other;
4) more importantly, he didn't say a damn thing at all when the turn was
dealt, and when the river was dealt. for a reg, this was too naive to
believe for such a big heated all-in pot;
5) he only started to defend AFTER everyone saw young gun's two pair hand.
actually the turn was a T, so reg picked up quite a few extra outs to suck
out (any runner T, any 9 for gutshot), plus his existing outs on the flop,
any 8 or J.
