发帖数: 1621 | 1 Went to Casino on Saturday. So many traffic that an hour passed I still
driving within New York City.
Bumper to bumper and got close to the tunnel to New Jersey. Cops came out
from no where and gave traffic tickets. Saying me and a bunch of ppl blocked
the traffic.
I checked the ticket amount... Great, I haven't played one hand yet and
already down $115.
6 hours after, I played like sh*t in Casino, down another 1.2+ k.
Of course I was not in a good mood. So Yesterday I went out with LD to City'
s botanical garden to see some holiday shows. Arriving there, only being
told company id can't be used to get free tickets during holiday. Well,
since we were already there, I just paid $50 went in and hoped to see a
great holiday exhibition.
The exhibition was totally disappointing and we were cold as hell. So we
came out earlier and trying to get home. What a waste of money, I thought.
Still under the bright day light, but when we approached our car, only to
see big holes on my car window. Turned out somebody smashed my car windowss,
broke in and stole my GPS and mobile phone. There were other 4-5 cars got
broken in on the street as well. Two passing-by locals told me, some black
punks did this on this street for almost a year now. And nobody can do
nothing about it. After hearing that, I turned around and told my wife who
just arrived in US for several months: Welcome to America, land of dream,
Honey. Then I managed to drive a car without windows in cold 30ish weather
home. Freezing!
Today I still have to send the car to the shop for repair. I only bought
liability for my car so no insurance coverage. Still had to pay the ticket
and I don't dare to think how to dig out the hole from poker I had last
Saturday.

Compared to other trouble that people may have, like losig jobs etc,
it is really not a big deal and very easy to go through. Nothing but losing
some affordable money.
Keep spririt up and everything will be fine.

midnight tournament in the casino.

I had my windows smashed when I was living in Washington Heights in NYC too.
So upsetting!
You need friends to console you and family to love you. Take a break. Give
it time to heal the wound.
