I saw many people taking notes in casino yesterday, and I think if I want to

1) stack size (short, or full)
2) bet size, how much he bets when he holds AA/KK, TPTK on flop, nut flush
on flop... underbet, overbet?
3) tendency, what he does when he chases a flush/str8, does he slow play a
flopped set? and when does he show his strength (turn, river)? when he does,
does he check raise or sudden over bet?... does he bet draws? does he make
blocking bet? or his "blocking" bet is actually a fake weakness to induce a
bluff?...
4) tilt factor, does he lose his p

regulars all take "mental" notes on the spot and then go home to write them
down. they all have a big "book" of notes.
this is another important skill to develop too, as another pro calls, "total
recall" of what happened.

no, i really saw people taking notes in casino. i don't think there's
anything embarrassing about it. you're here to win $, and taking notes
perhaps tells others that you're not a pro, but there's nothing illegal
involved. i'd feel more embarrassed for those who like to trash-talk.
i stood behind one person (from a respectful distance), and saw that he had
a table laid out on the page and he was either putting check marks on
certain cells or f |
