Preflop:
Great! I picked up AA UTG+1, and even better UTG raised 3BB. I reraised to
9BB, UTG called.
I probably would raise more here if playing $10 game, because 1) fish
usually raises UTG with a hand and don't want to fold; 2) I don't want
giving other pair the odd of flop a set on me. But this is my first $20
game, I am not sure whether UTG will play with me and definately I would
like to continue the play.
Flop: 4h2s2d pot390
Great! No way the board helped him. Since he called my preflop, if he has a
medium pair I don't think he would fold on this flop. I bet 260. Again, I
would probably raise more, but this time I really want to play this hand as
far as possible. No doubt. UTG called.
Turn: Qs pot910
If UTG has QQ, I am dead now. But I don't think that is very possible.
However, I am not sure how much I should bet here, and I was even thinking
check here to pretend that I have AK and then all in on the river no matter
whether UTG raises or not. Anyway, in the end I decided to bet 400 with the
intention to get all his chips committed to the pot. UTG folded. I guess
he had TT or JJ, and the Q finally scared him away.
Now I have 1970. Not a bad start. |
