Actually, the QE is not good to Banks.
Without QE the long term rate will go up more. Fed will keep short term rate
near 0 for at least another 2 years. So, the spread between short term and
long term rate is bigger. This means bank can make more money
if they lend more money out.
I think C hits the strong support here. These few days C is not doing well
because some worry about its business in emerging countries.
Actually, the problem in emerging counties could turn to be good thing for C
. If C leverage well with the high rate environment, It could make more
money.

Its tangible book value is $55.
After US regulatory review all banks about their capital reserve,
C will get approval to return more capital to share holders.
C has enough money to do share buy back and raise dividend. |
