The Powerball jackpot estimate rose to $425 million Tuesday.
The multistate lottery’s next drawing will be held Wednesday at 10:59 p.m.
Eastern time.
Ticket sales are cut off at least 59 minutes before the drawing, though some
states set earlier cutoffs.
If no one wins the drawing, the jackpot will roll over to the next drawing,
on Saturday.
To win the grand prize, players must match all five white balls, plus the
red Powerball.
The prize is paid out over 29 years (30 payments), or as a lump sum. The
current cash value of the estimated $425 million jackpot is $244.7 million
before withholding.
Powerball tickets are sold in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.
S. Virgin Islands.
A record $590 million jackpot was won in May by a Florida woman. | c*****1
